Had to replace my old leccy blanket after many years of solid service, and this replacement is perfect. Heats up very quickly, is a good size and covers the mattress, and you cannot beat the comfort of climbing into a cosy warm bed after a day of wintry conditions up here in Scotland. It really is like a big hug! I get such a good, deep sleep. The controls are easy to manage - just switch it to high for a quick warm-up, or low if you just want to take the chill off. There's medium too and that's comfortable enough to use while reading. I've had to turn the blanket upside down and top to bottom so that the connection is at the top of the bed to the left so as to be able to plug it in, so bear in mind that the cable and the hand controls are at the bottom left of the bed if you're standing at the foot. The blanket came in just the manufacturer's box which was damaged in transit, so I checked the blanket was working properly and no wires were damaged before putting in on the bed. Didn't want to end up fried to a crisp! You might want to ask that it's packed in an amazon box in case of damage en route. Good buy for the price and I'm very happy with it.

Better than any I've had before. So toasty. I rarely go above the low setting and I love that there's a timer too, so that I can set it at bedtime and know that if I fall asleep, it will still switch off, rather than me wake up sheltered. Happy to recommend.

My boyfriend’s house is very draughty, so I purchased this for my half of the bed as he doesn’t seem to get cold! It is easy to use, has an auto off function (although the remote flashes when it’s shut off automatically which is annoying in the dark room), and is much better then a hot water bottle in that it gives you comfortable warmth all over your body. It has elastic corner straps to keep it in place, I’ll be cutting two off as I keep it on a double bed. The cord is long but not massively so, so you’d need an extender pretty near your bed. It has 3 heat settings, and 3 different timing dettings. It also has another setting called “health” for preheating but unsure how this differs to the rest. You can either preheat it or do as I did and plug it in, and set it to auto off - but it will flash when auto off is activated and you will have to unplug it to stop the flashing. I assume the flashing is a safety feature so you remember to unplug it. Negative points are it’s quite narrow and short (definitely not the width of length of a full size single) and you can feel the wiring a little, but I was comfortable and slept fine on it. I don’t need heat around my pillows where my head lays, so I placed the blanket just below where my pillows ended, near where my neck would lay, and it just about reached the end. There is also has a large, hard electric part on the bottom right (part of the motor?), which the wire leads to, so part of the blanket needs to hang off the side of the bed slightly so you aren’t stubbing your toe off it at night. This again is a shame as it wastes a good 2-3 inches of the blanket, which is narrow already! overall, I got a warm, comfortable nights sleep with this. Despite sounding critical, it truly is one of the best things I’ve bought. Great value too, shows you don’t need the big brand names.

This was a gamechanger in winter. My house was quite cold and this saved me a lot. easy to operate and really warm. To make it warm you probably need 15-20 min preheat where you cover the bed with a blanket as well. I just wish it did have a better timer. now it is either 12 h or 4 hour.

I live in a very cold house. I researched so many electric blankets and trawled through all the comments and feedback. I wanted a single electric blanket for one side of my kingsize bed. I’d already returned one from a well known brand as it was so narrow - at the most single camp ex size! I then trawled Amazon and came across this electric blanket. I can’t recommend it enough - fits one size of my kingsize bed exactly - the control handset is also at shoulder level exactly where I can plug it in - and it is so easy to use the timer (even for me lol). I can put it on for 2 - 4 or 12 hours - have it on low, medium or high. And once it’s heated the the time chosen it switches itself off. It’s been a godsend and kept me so warm and cosy in this very cold weather - especially as I’m getting older, I’m feeling the cold more. Plus we don’t have to put the heating on at night. The only thing I can’t comment on is that I haven’t washed it yet. Money very well spent,

Really good electric blanket. Heats up quickly. Great size. Goes the whole way across the bed to the edge so no cold spots. Blankets I've had in the past from a well known company didn't go to the edge of bed. Would definitely recommend.

Its cheap for a reason! That is because it will stop working with 6 months. Do your self a favour and pay a little extra for a better qualitym more robust and reliable. It does heat fine, but you have to manually switch it off.
