Listen I am a 72 yr old woman and just got mine delivered. Just a few seconds and I had it going. Works great all the buttons do what they should. Very compatable with my dish hopper. Came with batteries and great value. Saved me from having to deal with dish customer service which is pitiful.

Worked out of the box without instructions
Activated the batteries, restarted the Joey 3, hit SAT - the remote paired to the new Joey 3, and we are off to the races. I really like the light up buttons and the ease of connecting (the old remote did not pair with the new Joey - the old system was 10+ years old).
