Just received the pen, but the side button does not open the menu on my Remarkable 2. How can I get this to work?

Sorry, but due to the original Remarkable 2 pen not supporting side button functionality, our pen's side buttons are also unable to provide any extra features on the Remarkable 2, including the menu opening you mentioned.

Does this pen come with the Remarkable 2 automatically, or needs to be purchased separately? If so, is it better than default pen the rm2 comes with?

The RM2 does not come with a pen automatically. This pen is compatible with the RM2 but not made by RM. I prefer the RM2 pencil to this brand, as it feels more like a pencil in my hand then this one, which is much lighter.
