be quiet! Dark Power 13 750W, ATX 3.0, PCIe 5.0, 80+ Titanium Power Supply

This be quiet! Dark Power 13 750W power supply is an excellent unit. It's incredibly quiet, performs flawlessly, and the 80 Plus Titanium efficiency is fantastic. The modular design made installation a breeze, and it's future-proof with ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5 support. While I'm very happy with this PSU, I do still miss EVGA's power supply offerings. They set a high bar, and I wish they were still in the game. That being said, this be quiet! unit is a worthy successor and I highly recommend it.

be quiet! did not honor their warranty. I bought this item and used it to build a computer. The first time I turned it on there was as a loud noise coming from the power supply that sounded like the fan had a faulty bearing. Although it was a brand new power supply, I could not return it to Amazon because too much time had expired since I bought it. It was as still under warranty so I contacted be quiet! And they informed me exactly how to rma the item under their policy. I followed the instructions and sent the unit back to their office in Walnut, CA exactly as they required. After many months later, I still have not received the replacement or repaired power supply. They simply forgot about it or refused to honor their warranty. Shameful. I’m disappointed because I love be quiet’s products, but knowing that they will not honor their warranty has made me realize that they are not a trustworthy vendor and I should not buy from them.

I've always heard positive things surrounding the Be Quiet brand, and have seen many LTT sponsorships from the brand. I had finally decided to go with their power supply, mainly because I wanted my PSU to be VERY VERY quiet, so I figured Be Quiet would be a great brand for just that. Everything on this power supply is truly beautiful, and the single rail (Overclock) option is a great feature I appreciated. Although when I finally went to build my computer, my computer didn't POST, zero lights, absolutely no signs of life whatsoever. At first I was reseating components and reseating cables, eventually I started doing some research into the PSU and came across many negative comments regarding this specific line of PSUs. All of the negative attention was from a while ago and I noticed that, so I figured Be Quiet should of fixed their issues by now (years after the initial negative customer experiences). I decided to test the PSU anyway, my friend has a PSU tester, we used it and it was showing zero power what so ever, then we attempted to jump the PSU via a paperclip on the two power pins, and there were absolutely zero signs of life coming from the PSU, we attempted multiple power cables and multiple outlets throughout the whole process. I've decided to return instead of contacting support or requesting a replacement out of fear that Be Quiet hasn't fixed these reported issues years later. There is the chance that my unit was a falsified return, or a 0.1% misfortune of a defective unit out of their now fixed and corrected products, but I'm not willing to take that risk myself.

Lacking a few nice cable ties, but a solid pick overall. I expect it to operate extremely well at this price.

I'm a long-time customer of this brand, and I used to swear by their products. But after less then a year this PSU started to give me problems. Under moderate-high load it simply cuts power to the PC. I'm not the only user with this issue, and unfortunately the only recourse would be to ship the package internationally. It's probably just easier to buy a different PSU. I guess I'll save this thing for something less important to me than my enthusiast level build. Best case is I lose some unsaved work. Don't even want to risk damage to my other hardware by continuing to use this product. Worked very well for about six months though!

The fan is audible and is the noisiest fan in my system compared to 5 other fans all running between 400 and 600 rpm. The Be Quiet PSU fan has a distinct rrr noise that others have mentioned. Kind of reminds me of a scooter engine idling. It is very noticeable when it starts up which might be why the engineers decided to not toggle the fan on and off once the load is great enough to require cooling. I ended up switching to a Seasonic Focus which in hybrid mode has the fan off at low loads. The Seasonic Focus fan does have some fan rrr noise when running but it is quieter than this Be Quiet PSU fan. Some positives about the PSU are the sleaved cables are very nice. The PSU aesthetics are good. If you are chasing power efficiency this PSU is very good. It does lower my power draw a couple watts compared to the Seasonic Focus platinum I switched to. The ATX 3.0 certification means it is designed to handle power spikes better than non ATX 3.0 PSUs. I really wish Be Quiet would get their fan noise improved especially at low RPMs. Also not running the fan at low power draws would have been a nice feature. Normally my computer is idling so there is no need for all this cooling capacity. I have a 130 watt laptop power brick without a fan. Why does a desktop power supply need to have a fan running when it's only drawing 70 watts?
