This item saves my back from bending over with a dust pan. Very sturdy, not heavy to carry, the height is good for me as I am closer to the ground (5'3) than most people. Love the design where the broom fits into the groove on the dustpan handle. Easy to empty trash out and wash. Really like the design of keeping the two items together.

Purchased this broom with dustpan (in red and black) for my elderly parents, as it appeared to be sturdy, and at a low price. Pros: It is definitely sturdy! I was surprised how heavy duty the plastic pan is! It came compact in a box, but was semi-easily screwed together, with a bit of pressure, but fit together solid. I like how it is fitted with metal, and not a plastic cuff as other brands, making it light weight, but sturdy. (The height of the broom is pretty short without the "extension", so I did use it.) The broom and pan snaps together and can stand on their own, once balanced. The pan rests flush with the floor with no gaps! The "hair cleaning teeth" seem to be spaced apart well, and the broom easily slips through. Cons: The broom bristles were not cut flush. The bristles are soft, so easily bent for sweeping, but makes the broom scraggly when trying to place in the dustpan for storage. Last con, might be personal preference, the dust pan does tilt back, but is pretty stiff. The hinge is all plastic, so it might loosen with use? I am hoping it will loosen, because you have to use a hand or foot to push it up after collecting dust. In my experience, a lobby broom dustpan tilts up when you lift it off the ground, so the dirt falls into the bottom, and you don't have to use force. Not sure if that is the intention with this product or if it's just strictly for compact storage.

This was a great buy and easy assemble. It helps a lot with the hair and anything stringy on the floor. It keeps me from stopping and bending down to get the hair off of the broom. I'll recommend.

This is not only a very useful set of broom and dustpan, it is a great buy! I have my set for a while now. it makes cleanup so much easier, and the dustpan holds a lot without the concern the debris will fall out. Look closely, and you will see the "teeth" on the dustpan (colored) which is very useful for combing through the bristles so dust, hair or whatever that's stuck in the broom will slide right off into the dustpan. Ingenious! The dustpan handle is shorter for a reason. No one needs their arm raised to hold it, and the lower height is exactly as it should be. (Early on, I read a complaint about that.) It makes for easy mobility. The broom is a good quality broom, too. It's easy to handle and great for indoors and outdoors.

Overall this product is good, however, it is missing a few key features (or creature comforts) that would make it a great product. First, even with the extension added to the broom it is still too short. Adding another 6 inches or so would help. You might not think that extra few inches would help, but I tend to use my old broom more because this broom hurts my back. Next, the folding or bending mechanism that is supposed to allow you to easily dump the dust pan into the trash, is not so easy. It is very stiff and does not fold on its own when lifting from the floor or when dumping into the trash, you have to move it by hand. Which leads me to the last issue. There is no "clean" place or handle or finger groove to place your hand on the dust pan to dump it into the trash. You end up having to grab it by the bottom of the dust pan to fold and empty it. With that being said, it does seem to be made of quality plastic and metal that feels like it should last awhile. However, I would probably not buy this product again and would be more likely to search for something that solves the issues I listed above.
