Works OK but
My fault in not reading other reviews before buying. The refill cartridges for this pen are very expensive and do not last long.I bought it on October for a surprise Christmas gift for my son so too late to return it or I would send it back.I bought his a different pen tonight that uses the rolls of filament so more economical.

Disappointing
Did not set hard and “ink” kept flowing on stop.

Someone send me a child of five …
… Well, a teenager of fifteen in my case (grand-daughter). This is a good idea, but unfortunately I need someone younger, more in sync with the technology and with some artistic flair, to help me to use it productively. So far I have made a shapeless blob, a line and a kind of tree or sorts, so I think there is some room for improvement. It was very easy to set up, just insert the colour cartridge you want and turn it on. It is simple to use, all you need is imagination and a steady hand, as well as knowing what you are doing. It is charged via an included USB cable, so there are no batteries needed. As it operates at an ultra- low temperature, there is no danger to body or clothing, and as it turns itself off when horizontal there should be no danger to your eyes.It is fun to use, and when I have worked out how to use it properly I have no doubt I will be having more fun with it, and it will certainly make my grand-daughter happy over the holidays (showing me up with both her tech savvy and her artistic skills). Hopefully with a couple of resin cartridges included in the pack I can achieve something worthy of calling an original piece of artwork.

3D Pen
We have had a 3D pen in the past, but it got very hot, and was abandoned by my daughter as being too difficult to use. We decided to give this a try and she was delighted to test it out. It comes with a charging cable, instructions, the pen itself and two ink cartridges. The replacement cartridges are expensive and you do need to bear that in mind. However, the plus point of this pen is that UV light allows the ink to ‘flow,’ rather than heat melting it. Also, it turns off when horizontal, so should avoid accidents to eyes if children peer to see why the ink is not coming out. However, I would advise all children are supervised using this – it is suitable for ages 6+ but my daughter, who is twelve, did need some help to get going.Overall, this was a success. It is a bit blobby, and sticky, but she got some good results. It was easy to load the cartridges and easy to use. She enjoyed drawing ‘in the air,’ which was a good novelty. I think it is better than the previous model we tried, as it has better safety features, even if results were similar.

Fun and accessible 3D drawing
For a child or young person with some artistic talent, this is a great rainy-day toy. Unusually, this pen uses a resin that is set by the UV light emitted by the pen rather than the melted plastic method of other 3D pens. Even so, for safety reasons I would think children under 12 would need to be supervised using the pen (it says it is suitable for children over 6 years). Some trial and error is needed to work out how to manage the flow of the resin so that you control the drawing/modelling rather than producing blobs. As slowly as possible to start off with seems to be the best method while you get used to the flow rate and the time it takes for the resin to set. This set includes the pen with its integrated battery; usb charger cable; a plastic plate to use as a base for the drawings; and two cartridges of coloured resin. Sets of six cartridges are available to buy. The limits of the pen’s usefulness will depend on the user’s imagination.

3D Pen
This 3D pen is a fun toy to try out 'air drawing'. It comes with as USB charging cable and 2 ink cartridges. It is quick and easy to set up and with some initial fiddling about you can make some rudimentary models with it. Nothing too high end or professional, but it is fun enough. I would suggest you look at the video on Amazon to show how to charge this and install the cartridge. This has limited applications outside making some fun models, which is why I would class this as a toy or hobby item, but it is interesting enough and should make a entertaining afternoon for some kids. But if you are looking for some more high end 3D modelling or printing then look elsewhere. Fun for what it is.

Not over excited I'm afraid.
This is a 3D drawing pen that uses UV light to harden the resin, rather than heat with PLA/ABS filament. I have seen other UV setting pens at a fraction of the price, so had high hopes this would be a premium article. To be fair, it's a bit better than those I've used previously. The cartridges are mechanically driven to deliver the resin to the extruder, rather than being squeezed by hand. Each cartridge has the extruder nozzle built in, so you shouldn't end up with a useless pen but clogging the nozzle. The battery is charged via USB.The downsides are the build quality, which is a bit rough, the cost of the cartridges of resin - £30 for six (inc delivery) at the time of writing and the issue with the resin still being a bit sticky after it should have cured. Maintaining the UV for longer doesn't seem to make much difference. While the lack of heat will be attractive to some people, the overall package falls short of the thermoplastic variant of a 3D pen, and i'm still to be convinced.

Practice Makes Perfect
My fourteen year old niece was thrilled with this product. It looks, feelss and works like high quality. A decent weight, without being to heavy, it sits well in the hand. It is easy to use, although making the models themselves requires some degree of skill. Practice helps to be able to control the resin flow. The cartridges will run out fairly quickly if used regularly but otherwise an excellent product

Man muss schon nochmal etwas ganz neues lernen.
