Black Edition Colour Pencils, Cardboard Wallet of 100

I already had the 36 set of these pencils, but when I saw the 100 set was out and HAD NUMBERS on them I decided to try them and I am so glad I did. I love everything about them. Soft, well pigmented and blending is effortless. It was so easy to sort them into blending tones in each colour. Ample greys for my needs (3 blending tones of both warm and cold greys), 6 pastel colours and 6 neon. You will need different storage cos the box provided is not really fit for purpose, but the pencils themselves are great. Sharpen well and no breakages. A really good buy.

I love the colour you get from these pencils, blending is pretty much effortless. The Age range I would put them to are 15 years of age and up. Definitely value for money because Faber Castell’s pencils are expensive if you choice oils. The versatility makes them my number one choice. I’ve had some brilliant results using them

I ordered these because of a you tube demo and the fact they are Faber Castel. Initially it’s almost impossible to open the packaging without testing the case. Once opened it’s hard to close securely again. The idea of having a case where all the pens are upright on four corners of a square is revolutionary but due to flimsy cardboard just doesn’t work. Also the pencils are not in any sort of order which took an age to sort. These are all negatives but the actual pencils are very good. They blend well, they burnish well, they lay down good strong colour. They don’t break easily and the colours are great. They are very cheap considering they are Faber Castell and comparable to expensive ones of the same brand. With the money you save just buy yourself a decent pencil tin. NB. These were on sale (presumably through several sellers) as there were different prices quoted which were quite a bit more for the same number of pencils.

Arrived well packed but in a paper bag , would have been better boxed , pencils I have only used once as yet but no broken ones and sharpened well ( the ones I have used) they are a bit like the Black Widow pencils but you get 100 pencils for your money so very good value .. mixture of colours .. The box stands up and is very good for seeing what colours you wish to use ( very good idea) Downfall is that Pencils are numbered but not colour named , for a budget pencil I would say good value for money and I have many different pencils to compare them with from expensive to budget so one of the better budget ones in my opinion.

I really love these pencils. I was pleasantly surprised how well they laid down on the paper. Have had lots of fun colouring with the pencils, they are softer and creamier than I thought the would be. Would highly recommend

Either I’ve received a bad pack or they’re not as described. They are said to be break resistant and they might be but the problem I have is the lead splitting! Once that happens it becomes a nightmare to sharpen them and the lead continuously falls out. I’m really disappointed as was looking forward to these and wouldn’t have paid as much as I did.

J’ai testé beaucoup de marques, mais cette boîte de 100 crayons Black Edition est une véritable surprise. Non seulement le design "tout noir" est magnifique dans son coffret, mais les performances sont incroyables, surtout pour le coloriage de précision et les dégradés. Ce que j'ai trouvé vraiment top : L'opacité sur papier foncé : C'est leur plus grand point fort. Les couleurs ressortent avec une intensité folle sur du papier noir ou du papier kraft, ce qui permet des effets créatifs que les crayons classiques ne permettent pas. La mine "Supersoft" : La mine est très tendre et glisse toute seule sur le papier. On peut superposer les couches et mélanger les couleurs (blending) très facilement sans marquer le papier. L'ergonomie triangulaire : La prise en main est excellente. La forme triangulaire empêche la fatigue de la main lors de longues sessions de coloriage, et bonus pratique : les crayons ne roulent pas sur la table ! Résistance à la casse : Grâce au procédé de collage de la mine (technique SV), elles ne cassent pas au premier choc ou lors du taillage. C'est rassurant quand on voit la finesse de certains dégradés. La palette de 100 nuances : Avec 100 couleurs, le choix est immense. Les dégradés de bleus, de verts et surtout les teintes de peau sont très complets. Mon petit conseil : N'hésitez pas à les utiliser sur du papier un peu texturé pour voir toute la richesse des pigments. Et si vous aimez le dessin "Night-view" (paysages de nuit), ce set est absolument imbattable. Verdict : Un coffret complet, esthétique et très performant. C'est le cadeau idéal pour un adolescent fan de dessin ou un adulte pratiquant le coloriage thérapeutique. Un rapport qualité-prix imbattable pour une telle quantité de couleurs. Je recommande les yeux fermés !

Very happy. I'm not after archive quality just being able to learn with good tools. So glad I ordered the 100. Superb.

Utilizzo queste matite ogni giorno nei miei lavori di disegno realistico (frarox.art) e devo dire che la qualità è davvero eccellente. I pigmenti sono intensi, morbidi da stendere e si stratificano facilmente, permettendo sfumature pulite anche nei dettagli più finissimi. La mina è sorprendentemente resistente alla rottura, caratteristica fondamentale quando si lavora per molte ore consecutive. La selezione di 100 colori è ampia e ben equilibrata, ideale sia per tonalità brillanti che per passaggi più delicati. La serie Black Edition si conferma un set curato, affidabile e molto piacevole da usare. Per chi ama il disegno, è una scelta sicura e davvero ispirante.

I had a smaller set but had searched everywhere for this 100 set and as soon as I saw it pop up I had it in my basket. The image I coloured from a Hanna Karlzon Tales from the Forest Kingdom book. The pencils blended amazingly and worked well on the paper this book is printed on. Definitely worth the money and time it took to find them.
