Would this be a good tool for dismantling wooden palettes without damaging the wood too much or is there a better tool for this job?

Hi I have used this for dismantling wooden palettes, however I was doing so for firework so was not concerned about damage. It was good for this task. Have not tried to do it with more care to avoid damage, so can not comment.....Craig

How wide are the ends of this tool - I am hoping to use it to remove a long piece of wooden path edging from a 20mm wide and 75mm deepconcrete groove.

Both ends are 30mm wide. You would need to grind them down to 20mm width using a grinder if you so wished. Suggest you have a look at all the other gorilla bars available from Amazon - some must be 20mm wide.
