Not waterproof
In the product listing, it is mentioned as "waterproof", but it is not. After applying on grouts, if the area is washed even after a week, it gets washed away.

Not a functional product
Best to improve visual/decoration purpose. Definitely not water resistant. The round brush is complete waste, I don’t know the purpose of the brush. Overall it’s not a functional product

Be gentle and you’ll be fine
After reading all the reviews I nearly didn’t buy this but thought I’d give it a go. The product itself is 5 stars. You need to be very careful, don’t squeeze the tube, don’t tip it face downwards and you’ll be fine. I quickly swept across horizontal lines and then vertical, rather than doing a tile at a time. If you’ve used that carpet cleaner that has a sponge end and spills everywhere or make up with a sponge application then you know the drill with pressure to apply.Don’t wipe down until all dry or you’ll take off what’s on the grout. Cleaning the residue is like cleaning off grout residue. Damp cloth, using your finger tip and it comes off.

it works, but it’s not easy!!
So I read the reviews before buying this product and for some reason assumed I wouldn’t encounter the same issues as everyone else did. Please don’t be like me, you should expect to have the same problems and plan ahead!I have just bought my first home and the bathroom is covered in white tiles from floor to ceiling. It must be nearly 10 years old now and so the grout has seen better days. It would be pretty exhausting and expensive to regrout the entire room so I settled for this product to refresh the worst of it. Upon opening the tube I immediately squirted the product into my eye, so be careful pushing any air out of the tube or you might get the same thing! At first I thought the product was working amazing and the complaints were unwarranted, but about 10 minutes later it became clear this would be a messy job. The product spills out of the sides of the sponge if you squeeze the tube too much (which is very easily done when you have to hold the tube to apply the product), then about a third of the way through the sponge fell off. There is no way of sticking it back on as it’s just glued by the looks of it so I resorted to using my finger which made the situation worse, but the product was pretty difficult to control even when the sponge was still attached. By the end I was shattered and covered in paint so be warned this is not a quick or an easy job. Anyway, I left it to dry before removing excess and I think it’s definitely not true that extra product just wipes away with water. Water didn’t really work so I used a bathroom cleaning spray which did the job but as there was so much excess to remove it took a lot of effort to rub the product off and was easy to end up with cloudy streaks over the tiles themselves. I had to give up and go to bed and come back to it the next morning to get the last of the streaks off the tiles as my arms were hurting so much! All that being said I am really happy with the result; the tiles look like they could be brand new and considering this was 5 pounds and took about 2 hours all in all (mind you that is just the shower area - I haven’t attempted the rest of the bathroom yet!!) I would probably purchase again but just invest in a small paintbrush and use that right from the beginning to avoid making such a mess.

Very Impressed
Have been looking for years to fix the yellow grout in my kitchen tiles in our rental. I have used the unibond grout pen in the past but it was totally useless. I was very impressed with this product. At first I used it with the sponge provided but i found it came on too thickly so I switched to using a flat paintbrush and wiping away the exess with a baby wipe. The few areas that I used the sponge it cracked a bit the next day as was too thick. But a week on with the pain brush it looks perfect. Its a little like painting. I put some product on a plastic plate and use the brush to paint the grout. On the really yellow areas it took 2 coats. Wait 20min in between coats. But most of the kitchen was ok with 1 coating. I'm loving how fresh the kitchen now looks. I havent tried it in a bathroom or area with lots of water usage but thats next on the list to try. Im not sure how well it will hold up under wet conditions as the excess on tiles does scrub away with a magic sponge the next day.

Rubbish
Waste of time and money. Sponge applicator too big for a start, it goes everywhere. It's just like watery paint and it washes off. May as well have just regrouted instead as now paying out twice and have to do it all over again.

Much better than the pen of the same name
I like this product much better than the pen of the same name. I didn’t use the sponge applicator as I thought it would waste too much product but used an old toothbrush instead. I suppose a suitably sized paint brush would do as well. It’s important to make your grout as clean as possible so the fluid adheres. I used the toothbrush for this as well. Covers well and easy to remove overspill. Some areas needed me to go over twice. But overall a good result.
