I wanted these for a gift I was making, specifically for one of the fonts in particular and the heart shapes. The letters are quite big but were perfect size for me as it was for some writing on a picture I was making and they fitted just perfectly, so was very happy. But if you want a larger selection of smaller fonts more suited for typical birthday/Christmas card etc sizes then you you might want a pack wit more smaller letters. Yes, the stencils are quite thin but perfectly adequate and easy to work with if held in place and very useful for craft projects.
