I have fine, chin-length hair with blonde highlights. The Ergo brushes are used by the stylists at my hair salon and overheard a stylist talking to a customer about the ‘Ergo Super Gentle’ brush noting how gentle it was on fine hair (wigs and extensions) and sensitive scalps. While I have never hesitated on purchasing salon-sold cleansing, conditioning and styling hair products, I DID hesitate on spending $50 for a brush b/c I thought “would a $50 brush really make a difference?”, so I added it to my cart and pondered over it. After a few days, I purchased the ‘Ergo Super Gentle’ 1.75” (ERG43) and can say it DOES make a difference, which I noticed after just one use. PROS: —My fine hair glides through the Ergo brush like butter, NO snagging or pulling (traditional round brushes would always snag my hair and would somehow always get tangled in the handle). —The bristles are magnificent. I don’t even feel them against my scalp like I did with the traditional round brush bristles, which were much firmer and felt like tiny needles. —The barrel is 1.25” longer than my old round brush, allowing you to dry more hair quickly. This brush has definitely shortened the drying time. —I can achieve great volume with this brush but also can tone it down, if I want a straighter look. —The shine I get is amazing. I have one small section of my hair that is damaged/frizzy from over-processing and this brush has smoothed out that section; dryness and frizzies are non-existent now. —The brush is lightweight and the handle is non-slip and has little nubs, which I wasn’t sure if I’d like (at first they felt a little uncomfortable), but after a two uses, I don’t even notice nor mind them now. The little nubs allow you to comfortably hold the brush securely without having to add any excessive hand pressure, which reduces hand fatigue. My old brush I always had to grip tightly. CONS: None to mention. Overall, this brush is worth the cost and my hair feels amazingly healthy, soft and shiny just like it does when I leave the salon. After one use of the Ergo brush, I tossed my traditional round brush in the trash.

I have impossible hair, thick yet fine is curly/straight. I am in the process of growing out layers (ugh), it is approximately between collar and shoulder length. It has always been difficult to blow dry myself because of the thickness. In comes this ERGO Super Gentle Round Hairbrush for Blow Out. Will this brush help me blow out my hair any better than the 50 or so other brushes I have tried. YES!!! When I section my hair correctly, this brush gets me a bouncy blowout that actually stays all day!! The brush is very light weight and the handle is grippy. My hand stays in place for better control. The bristles are incredibly soft yet are able to get through my thick hair with 0 frizz. This brush is a game changer for anyone struggling to blow out thick hair. I LOVE IT and highly recommend giving it a try!!

This is an awesome brush! It’s so lightweight yet has a slightly longer handle and a longer brush area so more hair gets taken care of more quickly. The bristles don’t pull my hair and because the brush has an open center, my hair dries faster when I blow it dry. My hairdresser recommended this brush to me and I love it. It is a bit pricey, but I fully expect this brush to last a very long time with proper care.

Finally a brush which is exactly what i have been looking for! The “gentle” bristles glide through my thick hair while blowdrying with ease. I have purchased so many before this and none worked because bristles too hard and got stuck in my hair. Brush is pricey but 100% worth it - Buy it now!!!

This brush is fantastic. Heat styling is hard on hair but I’ve learned brushing can be even worse in terms or breakage. I felt an immediate difference the first time I used it and it is the only brush I use. I’ll be buying more in different sizes. It is so easy to grab the hair, roll it as I’m drying in and gently pull the brush through. The pay off is a great blow out and not a bunch of hair stuck in the brush. I’ve also cleaned out my brush drawer. All the other brushes feel too harsh now. I can’t tell really if there is an increased shine because that was never my issue, but I love the look the brush helps me achieve. Well worth the money.

Brush works well for smoothing hair without pulling while blow drying, but makes a rattling sound when shaken/a clicking sound when touching the bristles. I'm not sure if this is due to the design or if I received a damaged brush.

Brush seemed expensive but it was worth it. I have fine hair but it is not thin. Well designed. No exposed metal to accidentally come in contact with skin and result in burns. Bristles gentle on scalp but firm enough to style hair.

I love this brush! It is so gentle on my fine thin hair. My hair dries faster. Bought 2 sizes. The 2.5 and the 2. I have naturally curly hair. They do a great job of straightening. It's worth the price.

I have fine long hair. Also dry on the sides. This brush is the best. I have tried many round brushes in the past. They didn’t work for my hair as I had more breakage. This brush allows hair to glide through easily. No breakage. It’s light weight and easy to use while blow drying. It’s pricey but worth every penny. It’s a keeper. I am very happy with it.

I was influenced to buy this brush. It’s built so much different than all the others! This brush has bristles that are truly easier on all hair types (less breakage). The end cap is recessed so no more hair snags or ripping out hair:) Truly worth the higher price tag
