SUNBABY One Way Window Privacy Film, Heat Blocking Window Tint, 17.5"x78.7"

So, at first I was unhappy. I did 4 windows, and only 1 of them stayed on. The rest kept falling off. Then I realized that the rest were put on incorrectly. You must put the side that you separate from the film against the window. By the time I figured that out, I had wrinkled those that kept falling off, and had to buy more. But I am glad I did. I used bright and clear for downstairs to let in the most light and black for upstairs to dim the bright sun a bit. I absolutely love them! I can see outside clearly and when I went outside and walked about a block away, All I seen was the outside reflection, I saw nothing inside my house. It looks great from the outside and inside. However, you MUST close the blinds/curtains when it starts to get dark because you can see inside the house. I did test and went outside when it was dark and I saw EVERYTHING. So, I set an alarm to close the curtains just before dark, so I never forget. I recommend this film. I have an irregular sized window, that I had to overlap two pieces of film slightly. They both adhered to the window with no bubbles. The film is easy to cut, but handle it with care because you can wrinkle it before it gets to the window. You can see those wrinkles outside and inside. The more water you use, the easier it is to reposition. And I will confess that I used a bigger spray bottle because I had many windows to do, but the package comes with everything you need to apply it to your windows. At anytime, even days after putting it on, you can simply peel it off; no residue on the window.

I'm thrilled with the product and the results. The film is thick and easy to work with. The blue color inside is beautiful. It has a reflective mirror look on the outside. The backside has a grid marking which makes it easy to cut straight. I found it easy to install. My two window took about 1.5 hours. I used 4 roles of film. You could probably get the job done with the tools supplied but I ordered a install kit that had a better squeegee and larger capacity spray bottle. Put a thin soft cloth over the squeegee so as not to mar the surface of the film. In the last photo you can see the subtle blue tint of the windows versus the untainted window on the left.

I ordered three rolls. These rolls have a pretty thick film. Reminds me of the older phone screen protectors and apples similarly. The measuring and cutting was the most annoying bit, but once that was done the film went up with ease. The tools were contained inside the tube and included a small squeegee, a small blade, and a spray bottle. We had a larger squeegee and spray bottle that made applying easier and faster. I’d recommend being generous with the spray when installing. Removing the film is a chore if you’re trying to do it while you install. So if you can cut it before and remove the film that will be simpler. Gave it 4 stars because the color choices are a bit confusing. I ordered black, but it looks like all of them are mirror looking from the outside and whatever color you select for the inside. At night you can see into a lit area even if the film is there, so this film still needs to be used with blinds or curtains if you want privacy. For the price longevity isn’t the goal. Just need this film to get me through this hot out the box summer so my electric bill isn’t crazy.

Our house is positioned in a way that the morning sunlight comes directly through our front door, and every time when opened the door, the heat was overwhelming. I searched for something that could help keep the heat out and ended up trying this product—and I highly recommend it! Since installing it, the heat coming through the door has reduced significantly, and it also provides great privacy. The only thing to keep in mind is that at night, if you have the lights on, you can see everything from the outside. I did have a little trouble installing the film because I’m a perfectionist, and a few air bubbles were showing. The good thing is that you can lift the film and reposition it until you get it right. Compared to the other two privacy films I bought for my windows—which have been a nightmare because I can barely see through them—this one is definitely the winner. I may end up removing the other films once summer is over, but this one is staying! It has held up really well, even with the sun hitting it directly every morning. It looks good, provides privacy, and has made a noticeable difference with the monthly electric bill. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Highly reflective and highly effective at reducing the solar heat coming into the house. It was relatively easy to apply by myself even with the larger size required for the door. Although, it certainly would have been easier with a 2nd pair of hands. As long as you take your time cutting and measure as often as necessary, you will find the tint applies easily and is easy to remove and reset while still in the application process. Use a sharp knife, the one included looks like it will work just fine but clip the blade often. The blade will dull very quickly and give you problems as you're trying to trim the tint. Keep the blade sharp, spray plenty of soapy water! I didn't use the tools included but they were there and looked ok. I used a tint installation kit that I purchased last year.

I am so pleased with the look from outside of my house that the privacy window tint gives my house. It also makes a huge difference in helping decrease the heat coming through the full sun facing windows. I live in a very hot state and although I have double layer window panes I prefer having the reflective window tint film on all of the windows. It's also a layer of security as I can look out to see the pesky sales people ahead of time to avoid them disturbing me. The film greatly cuts down the intense sun rays and makes a room more comfortable. I have another window to do and ordered additional window tint. The adhesiveness is great and it was much easier to apply than other brands I've tried.

I am not a professional and I did not want to spend an entire afternoon getting my application of these reflective strips onto my sliding glass doors to be flawless - suffice to say, I was definitely not able to get the air bubbles out, and a more perfectionistic person would probably shudder at the bumpy job I did. That said, these ABSOLUTELY do their job. I am so impressed. From outside, my sliding glass doors look like mirrors now - you can't see inside at all! That's a big win against my nosy neighbors, and the reason I thought I'd give these a try. I'm glad I did. For the price, I definitely recommend, just bear in mind that I definitely did not get them to apply smoothly. Maybe you can, who knows.
