Alps MountaineeringTri-Leg Stool

Essentially what I was looking for was the smallest/lightest stool I could find. I wanted this to fit inside my carry-on luggage without pushing it over the weight limit - this camping stool was exactly what I was after.It's not the lightest or even smallest one you could find, but it's probably the cheapest. For just £12 it did exactly what I needed it to. At this size and with no back rest, it's not the most comfortable stool in the world, but it's infinitely more comfortable than sitting on the floor. I took this stool to Germany in my carry-on luggage for a festival and the difference having a stool rather than sitting on the floor was amazing. I definitely couldn't recommend this for larger/very heavy folk and wouldn't trust it to support heavy loads.The build quality is absolutely fine. The legs are sturdy and rugged and the material and stitching used for the seat is well constructed and durable. Wasn't a huge fan of the rust colour but given my marginal requirements this was largely irrelevant. For the price I didn't expect it would last more than a handful of uses, but after 3 festivals, 6 flights, stormy weather...it's still going strong.Not really much else to say, it was sturdy and durable, fit inside my carry on and is extremely cheap: great!

Brilliant little portable seat, quick to setup and break-down, quite stable, with a large-ish seat, perhaps a little on the low side, but otherwise put to great and frequent use on my last holiday where the rest of the group had to stand around for long periods and I didn't! Saved me getting any back-ache completely, a really good investment.

Good build. Well designed. Stable, does not tip when leaning forward. About right height for fishing. For uneven ground three legs safer. Confidently looking forward to testing it on bankside.
