Solid well built & does the job.

This is a well crafted extension sleeve with quality external surface finish. I needed a taper fit element to fit my rotary table center taper hole and extend a surface to gage off when centering table with mill spindle. Fit is perfect and external surface finish is smooth for guaging.

I'm a novice on the wood lathe but found out real quick that when trying to turn a bowl, I need some extra room between the tailstock and the bowl. It was just too close when trying to get my chisel oriented so I could start taking out what would become the inside of the bowl. Saw a video where there was some kind of extension being used that alleviated that problem. Researched it and found this MT2 (morse taper #2) and bought it. It just slips right in to your existing morse taper and gives you several inches of extension. This I slipped my live center into the extension and now I had the clearance I was needing. I checked it for trueness and everything seems fine. It fit the bill for me.

Fit perfectly

After the first use, my live center is stuck in it and unless I want to get medieval on it I dont think its coming out. I have others so ill leave it in there. It the extension comes out of the tailstock with ease.

It fits. It added 4 inches to my tail stock travel. The slot in the extension was too far back for me to eject my Harvey lathe's live center from the extension. So I had an older live center which had a slightly longer MT2 taper which fit into the extension with it's end visible in the extraction slot. Fit and finish is well made.
