Have other people than the one reviewer had a problem. With this getting clogged easily?

I haven't had any issues with it clogging and I have pretty hard water.

This isnt unusually heavy, is it?

It's not heavy at all. It actually feels light. Its sturdy and well made. We have had these in all of our showers for more than a year and a half. They get daily use. They still look brand new and function perfectly. My family has been singing praises for these showerheads. You will not regret the purchase. We do clean them in vinegar and water from time to time. This may be due to our water situation.
