Nissin Cup Noodles Stir Fry Rice with Noodles, General Tso's Chicken, 2.68 Ounce (Pack of 6)

I was a bit unsure after reading the reviews, but it actually tasted pretty good. It’s on the sweeter side, but I think it’s a flavor that would appeal to the general public in the US. The portion size is good, too. I’d like to try the other flavors as well. I poured in hot water and let it sit for 7 minutes; I didn't use the microwave, but it turned out perfectly. I realized I should have stirred it right after pouring in the hot water.

These cup noodles stir fry with rice are my absolute favorite. I love all the flavors but sadly I cannot find them in any of my local grocery stores anymore. Thank goodness I found them here on Amazon and for about the same price they were when my local stores did carry them. You can't go wrong with any of they flavors, they are all fantastic.

The mouth feel is great, the flavor is great too, just happens to be a bit too sweet for me.

These are really okay, they're not my favorite, but they're a good quick lunch. Couldn't make it easier to eat, who doesn't like that?

I think it's the worst nissin product that I have tried. It's like crushed noodles with some spices, no flavor of stir fry, just a mix of everything... Would not recommend it.

I had never tried this product before so maybe I was expecting just a little bit too much from it. Once we tried it we were really disappointed in the results. We love Asian noodle dishes and also have a variety stocked up on the shelves. I was really excited to see this one that also included rice and was in a General Tso's version. Yummy :) However, Once I actually cooked one up and saw and smelled it I knew we had made a mistake. I'm not sure if this dish was designed this way but the noodles were broken up so tiny that they were almost impossible to find amongst the rice. The flavor was very bland and had a slightly strange taste to it. It didn't really taste like General Chicken to me at all, and while they did indicate that this was mild and at the bottom of the spicy scale I did expect just a little bit of spiciness since it was a General Tso's Chicken dish ( less the chicken of coarse) Overall this product was pretty yucky and I had a hard time even finishing the cup. I may see if I can doctor up the remaining cups we have left somehow to try and make them more palatable but I certainly will not be buying this product again nor suggesting this product to anyone else. It's like General Tso's chicken, only it's for toddlers or something.

I liked the thai curry one okay to be curious to give this a try, and this one isn't that great. The rice was fine, and some of the flavor profile is okay, but it really is missing that added depth that both breaded chicken and also just chicken fat in general gives to General Tso. This is very vinegar taste heavy and comes off more as a fried rice with a little sweet and sour sauce mixed into it than General Tso. This is all subjective though. I grew up on hole in the wall New York style Chinese Takeout with the wok fired fried rice with Char Siu in it and the thick sauce General Tso, some of you guys probably can recall memories by just that one sentence. This tasted more like Midwest Oklahoma no MSG all white meat chicken Chinese takeout. Not my thing, might be your thing. I suggest buying a single and trying it out before getting a big pack. Smells okay, not offensive. Easy to make. Just pour water in and microwave for 4.5 minutes, and let it sit. Easy side of rice with no heat level to it, but good texture and all. Not the end of the world if I had to eat this, but wouldn't dare serve this to someone I love.
