Extremely sharp! I use this for my beef jerky! It can cut very thin or thick style cut for jerky or whatever need you have cutting meat.I usually freeze my meat and let it sit out for about an hour then start to cut it. BLADE SLICES LIKE BUTTER!

Works as advertised
Works as it should. The product itself is true to what it is advertised, but is not a luxury item. The edges are a bit sharp and can be awkward to clean

Disappointed with Hinge Issue
I recently purchased a meat slicer from Amazon and initially, I was quite pleased with its performance. However, after using it only three times, I encountered a significant issue that has left me disappointed and concerned. I feel it's essential to highlight this problem to potential buyers, as it may impact their decision-making process.First and foremost, the hinge of the meat slicer has proven to be a major cause for concern. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the presence of black powders emanating from the hinge area. This was not only unexpected but also quite unsettling. It's disheartening to witness such a flaw in a product that is meant to handle food preparation, where hygiene and safety are paramount. The black powders raise several questions about the quality and durability of this meat slicer. Is it a manufacturing defect? Could it be a sign of poor materials or improper assembly? Regardless of the root cause, it is simply unacceptable for a kitchen appliance to exhibit such issues, especially when it comes to potential food contamination risks. In addition to the hygienic concerns, the presence of black powders from the hinge also raises concerns about the long-term durability of the product. If the hinge is already showing signs of wear and tear after just a few uses, how can one trust that the meat slicer will continue to function reliably over time? As a consumer, I expect my purchases to last and perform as advertised, without compromising my health or safety.I must note that aside from this hinge issue, the meat slicer performed reasonably well during the limited usage I had with it. It delivered precise cuts and had a sturdy build overall. However, the presence of black powders from the hinge undermines any positive aspects of the product and casts doubt on its overall quality. While I understand that defects can occur in any product, the fact that this issue has manifested so early on and involves an area that comes into direct contact with food is concerning. I hope that the manufacturer takes immediate action to address this flaw and rectify it for future customers. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the meat slicer I purchased due to the disconcerting issue with black powders emerging from the hinge. As a consumer, it is vital to prioritize safety and hygiene when it comes to kitchen appliances, and this product fails to meet those expectations. I encourage potential buyers to explore alternative options until the manufacturer resolves this problem and ensures a more reliable and sanitary meat slicer for its customers.

Sharp edges on base & wrench required to adjust thickness are big drawbacks
Item: Koconic Stainless Steel Food Slicer w/meat bags and spare bladeSeller: KOCONICTL;DR: A fairly straight-forward $27 manual meat slicer that unfortunately has sharp edges running along the base of the unit, and requires an additional tool to adjust thickness of the cuts. Also - not all parts of slicer are stainless steel, expect rusting to occur.--- update ---The other slicer mention in the review was actually a little smaller than this one, so I ended up keeping this one. Exchanged two times before figuring out that the seller took the reviews about the blue film seriously, so they removed it (not cleanly though) before shipping unit out. After owning the unit for a while, some other things I noticed was that it rusts. Specifically, the nuts that hold the blade as well as the the nuts holding stand/suction to the slicer. The pivot where the blade is attached does "shed" metal filings if you go at it for a while (see pic), but this can be alleviated by putting a little oil on it before use (I use vegetable oil). Also, the foam that covers the handle will wear down pretty quick - not too big an issue though.Have used it to slice brisket and eye of round and it works pretty great.--- orig --As another reviewer mentioned, the designs amongst the sub $70 manual meat slicers are are pretty much all the same. The version I purchased came with an extra blade and meat bags, so take that into consideration when purchasing similarly priced slicers.First thing I noticed upon opening up the box is that I received a used unit. A lot of reviewers mentioned the annoyance of having to remove blue film off the unit - and it was something I wouldn't have minded doing since I would have to clean the whole thing with soap and water prior to use. That film was already removed on unit - thankfully it looks like the previous buyer didn't test cutting meat with it (or if they did, they washed the unit before returning). If I decide to keep this, I will bring this up with Amazon to get a new replacement. I purchased another unit along with this (Dsyisvia Manual Frozen Meat Slicer for $0.09 more) and will compare the units along side one another once I get it - but upon first inspection, I'm likely to return this for the following reasons:1) the edges along the base of the unit are sharp. Enough so that you'll shred your hands as you clean the unit. Easy fix for this from the manufacture would have to just bend the edges up on itself so that it's rounded.2) To adjust the thickness of the cut, you will have to use a 14mm wrench. I plan on only using one level of thickness so it's not that big of a deal but if you plan on cutting various meats and cheeses at different thickness, the need for a wrench will be annoying real quick. I was looking more at price when buying the two slicers, but upon inspection of the pictures, you can see the nut you need to adjust to change the thickness. For reference, check the dial which can be hand-adjusted on the Dsyisvia slicer or other models on Amazon. See bottom of review for link to the Dsyisvia slicer on Amazon. An additional thing I noticed was that there is no latch to lock the blade down for slicers in this price range (similar to ones you would see on a paper cutter). If I ended up keeping this unit, I'll probably make one myself that can be attached to the bolt securing the leg near the blade. Oh, will sand down those edges too. Make sure to use cut resistant gloves when handling this slicer!Dsyisvia Slicer (shown on top in pic):https://www.amazon.com/Dsyisvia-Manual-Slicer%EF%BC%8CStainless-Machine%EF%BC%8CFood-Cooking/dp/B0BZHM24LB?ref_=ast_sto_dp

Does the job
I had been using this slicer several times since I got it and it worked as intended. As long I made my meats prepped ahead of time, the slicing and the cleaning afterwards is easy. For this price, it's a good value for your money.
