My daughter loves it. So for me it's worth it. She is 8 years old and she loves her slushies.

Does it take a long time to squeeze into a smoothie?

It usually takes only a few minutes, tell you a tip, it's easier to make smoothies by pouring in a cool drink.

Can I just leave a slushie cup in my freezer overnight?

Yes, I leave mine in there most of the time

Does it actually hold 500ml?

About 300ml~400ml, and it may be 500ml when it is full, but it may overflow when squeezed. I bought a slushy cup last year, and this one is much bigger than the original one. This capacity is the largest that can be bought now.
