These cymbals are helping me get back on my throne (drum throne that is). I wanted to restart my drumming after 40 years - I set up my (now) vintage drum set, signed up for on-line lessons and started practicing. It wasn't long before I was de-throned (pun intended) by my spouse for making too much noise.These L80's fill the bill. I tried various drum and cymbal mutes but wasn't thrilled with the result. Price was low-ish, but a poor experience. Next thought was an electric kit - but the $500 kit turned out to be almost double after seeing I needed headphones, a drum app, etc. The L80's that seemed expensive before now looked like a bargainAfter a trip to the drum store and seeing the result of combining L80's and mesh heads on the drums, I went that route. The cymbals have good sound, the feel of "real cymbals", and low volume. They wouldn't replace the real thing for gigs, but do a great job of allowing me to keep the volume low and still feel like I'm playing a real drum set.One thing to remember - don't compare them to standard cymbals, but to the other alternate drum and cymbal mutes that make it sound like you're using rubber garbage cans for drums and their lids for cymbals.

I picked this set up for using in some small rooms. It sounds amazing. The crash is mediocre but the ride and the high hats are so nice.

Love this set of cymbals. Great sounds. The hi-hats definitely take a bit of getting used to. They are very heavy and sound like they're a better fit with a heavy metal setup. They have a dull low pitch tick, rather than a high pitch click. But I'm coming around to the hat sound the more I play them. The ride is simply beautiful and works well for various musical types.The carrying bag is really nice quality and a nice bonus.Minus one star because I think the set I got was used or returned. It had some weird scuff marks on the bells that I don't think were from shipping. I do think the packaging of cymbals could be much better. They basically put them in thin plastic bags and throw them in a box free to bounce around.

Game changer. Along with Remo Silent Stroke heads on our kit, the L80s make it possible to jam at conversation level. They sound beautiful. If you want to play your kit at 11pm without disturbing the neighbors - heck, without them even having any remote awareness that you are doing so - do yourself a big favor that you will never regret, and buy a set of L80s, along with a set of Silent Strokes. My band rehearses without a PA now. No need to rent a rehearsal space. Utterly tolerable volume levels. I tell anyone who will listen: the greatest thing to happen in music since The Beatles. Seriously. Conversation level. This has changed everything.

These Cymbals are beautiful and they sound AMAZING!

These cymbals are a blast, they sound great and are very universal for different genres. I play a lot of different styles such as rock, metal, worship, funk, punk and pop. So these cymbals work really well for that, they have a nice bright sound and they're lighter weight so they're ring doesn't sound awful but rather fades out nicely. However if you like jazz, blues or something requiring more of a deep and darker tone these cymbals are not meant for that. Overall awesome cymbals at a reasonable price, and the bag work great and is durable.

Cymbals sound great and were untouched....BUT Factory seal was broken and the gig bag was not in the box. If I would have received everything I purchased I would have gave it 5 stars.

I didn't realize that these were meant for someone who needs them to practice quietly. There are holes in the cymbals, which greatly reduce the crash they produce. If you are looking to play quietly, these seem good and a good value; and come with a nice looking bag; but I had to return them for some cymbals that were meant to be crashed loud.
