Worked great for a couple of months
It worked as intended but after around 4 months it started making a weird noise, still works but just makes a noise that frightens me

Possibly the loudest fan Iâve ever heard
The design is good and will fit most aquariums. However DEAR GOD IT IS LOUD. You can hear it from the next room. I bought this as I thought my desk fan was rather loud but after trying this I realised how wrong I was. Does the job if your tank is in a room you donât frequent but mines in the living room and I didnât fancy turning my TV volume up so high that the neighbours wellyâs probably complain.

Buy it !!
Strictly speaking, I still have not used the product because I want to settle my aquarium first, however, withregard to the service it was impeccable. Parcel arrived within days of placing the order. It arrived safe and sound.

Only good for tanks without a lid. Expensive for what it is.
The design of the cooling fan is only any good for those thanks without a lid or top, you could in theory lift the lid on the tank and use it that way.Having kept tropical fish for many years I know the problems when we get hot weather, this leads to tank temperatures rising significantly and can lead to stress in fish triggering disease, my way to combat this is ice cold or frozen bottles of water this help to cool tank a little but ambient temperature of the room means the tanks soon return to that temperature.Looking at this fan I think it will struggle to provide any kind of cooling of the water, when switched on and on at full speed it doesn't move that much air, I can't see it providing any cooling function at all if you have larger tanks. The construction of this fan consists of two plastic brushless 12-volt fans, an aluminium extrusion with a switch located at one end and a 12dc power socket at the other end, the fans can be angled individually, and the unit also comes with a 12vdc mains adaptor with a very short 12v cable, again this should be at least 2 metres long to get the mains supply away from the tank. Safety is paramount when fishkeeping and mains electricity should always be well away from the tanks and on breakers.I think this fan is more of a gimmick than anything else, I have serious doubts about it working at all.

Probably good for smaller tanks
This consists of a unit containing 2 fans, a couple of plastic screws to attach it, and a 3 pin power cable. The unit is quite large and weighty and it won't fit on a tank with a rim, it will need to be straight glass and a lidless tank. This obviously isn't the right time of year to need it, but as I have a few, small tanks, I will be interested to give it a full test. I think the benefit will only be seen in smaller tanks unless you had a few of these going. In theory this should reduce the temperature of surface water, but to what degree, I can't yet say. If this is running then evaporation will be increased as well, so that's something to think of. Also, this is not any way, shape or form waterproof, so caution should be used when this is around a tank.I will see how this goes in the summer and update as I get some results.
