This is a fantastic product and if used as instructed, works brilliantly. Even if you don't use it as frequently as recommended, it is still effective. After a long time of living with fissures and discomfort, this stuff healed them quickly. My partner has used it too with equal success. I wish that I had found it sooner. I looked on Amazon at various products to treat the issue and this one stood out because of the reviews, an added bonus that it is all natural. It seemed pricey to me for such a small quantity, but it is well worth it if you are suffering, especially if other remedies have not worked. I only had to use it for a few days and never again since, so there is plenty left. It's not a subject that you would generally discuss but I would have no problem recommending this product.

This product is amazing, I read the reviews on the website and thought I will try this remedy, when the parcel arrived it came with in two days, I opened the parcel and I thought what is this, a small bottle with a dropper for the ointment to come out. my initial thoughts this will not work, I have been mislead but i had not, please read on .i had a bowel operation 12 years ago and the operation was a success but I still had rectal pain after a normal bowel movement. no straining or anything like that. I tried this ointment 5 drops twice a day out side the rectum and with in 3 days the pain had gone I was totally amazed , I am still using the ointment there is enough for 90 applications, i have recently converted back to wearing close fitting mens briefs and this has not ruined my briefs.it has working for me and i am pain free.i hope this ointment works for you.

Soothing, and not unpleasant to apply but it runs out very quick and sadly did not heal my fissure. I won't be buying this again but i'm glad I tried it.

I've been suffering with fissures for a while now and tried everything going so thought I'd give this a whirl, after reading reviews of several products, this seemed the most promising. It definitely lived up to its expectations. Although at first I was surprised at how small the bottle was, but it goes very far. It's stopped soreness when pooping, itching has subsided and no blood when I wipe 9 times out of 10. Overall I'm well chuffed I bought this, don't let the price put you off, I tried everything else on the market with no luck before this.

I recently had haemorrhoid surgery and was left with a nasty fissure that quiet frankly left me in the worst pain imaginable. I tried all the usual stuff for short term relief, baths, pain killers and sudocreme but nothing worked for a prolonged period. I saw the this and tried it, I will say it does numb the burning pain better than most things but as for the healing of my fissure I think it’s been as much taking a fibre supplement, Arnica tablets to promote the healing, baths with Epsom salts and this oil that has got me on the road to recovery 5 weeks post surgery. Please don’t order this product and pin all your hopes on it as I did as you’ll be disappointed.

I have been suffering for a wee while now and bought this as I was in agony. It arrived today and having read the reviews I know it was going to be a small bottle. I used a cotton bud to dip in the bottle then dab onto the affected area. Within minutes the pain and discomfort I was in had disappeared. Hopefully the healing will now begin. I would highly recommend this and that is after just one application !

I have been using this product for some time now and it has allowed me to discontinue the use of Diltiazem to control my fissures. As I also have grade 4 external prolapsed haemorrhoids I found it extremely difficult to apply at first but it combines well with lanolin and some other, more solid, ointments/creams for more precise applications to very painful areas.

I struggled with a chronic fissure for years. For a number of those years, I thought I had a hemorrhoid that I just couldn’t get rid of. I used Prep H religiously as it basically lessened the pain but never healed my situation. Finally, once I got better health insurance I saw a specialist to take care of the matter. My doctor told me that I did have small hemorrhoids, but also a fissure. He treated one hemorrhoid (anticipating treating the other two later) and prescribed me Diltiazem for the fissure. The cream was great (and expensive even with insurance) and I saw great improvement that I hadn’t in a long long time. When he went back in to treat the other hemorrhoid, that was the point of no return for me. The cream was no longer working, I wasn’t living in a space in NYC that I could comfortably take sitz baths to help, and my trusty prep H wasn’t working either. This went on for about a year of me trying different options. My doctor recommended another specialist who basically told me everyone has hemorrhoids and to leave them alone, the severe pain is coming from my fissure. So he gives me surgery options and because I’m so young (23 at the time) he didn’t want to split the sphincter muscle since I might have kids and that might cause incontinence down the road...so we went with Botox injections...The procedure was fine, the healing process was the most painful experience of my life. And I’m not a weakling, I’d say my pain tolerance is up there. Even after the Botox wore off (3 months later) I was still in pain. I didn’t like the other options my doctor suggested so I decided to do more research and most importantly - prayed about it. I’ve tried everything guys, even anal sex numbing cream and lube...Finally I came across this product. The reviewers described situations similar to mine and were very pleased with the product. I decided to give it a chance since I’ve exhausted all options and it really isn’t expensive. I’ve spent more in co-pays at this point. I purchased this along with a toilet sitz bath. I used the product about twice a day. And sometimes adding a few drops to my sitz bath which I did maybe 3 times a week. I saw dramatic healing within two weeks. You don’t need a lot of it since it’s an oil. Literally just one or two drops is enough and it smells minty. Because of this whole experience, I’ve lost faith in our healthcare system and am getting more into wholistic healing. I thought I was just going to have to live with this pain, but I’m so grateful this product has healed me. I’ve gone on to buy more of Forces of Nature’s products which I’ll review later on. I have had a chronic anal fissure for 10 months. To remedy the condition, I have done everything including sitz baths, the nitroglycerine cream from the gastroenterologist, and wheatgrass cream. Nothing worked and the condition just kept getting more and more painful. Anyone who has a fissure knows the pain involved. I experienced spasms that lasted for hours after defecating. I was paralyzed from pain and fear everyday. It has been the most debilitating problem I have ever encountered for this amount of time. I lived on stool softeners and still had terrible pain everyday. i started using the oil on a Monday and by Friday I was experiencing 70% less pain after the bowel movement. I cannot recall the last time I was in church on a Sunday morning and did not have terrible pain while sitting on those hard pews. Today, I was pain free in church. For the doubters, I find you cannot get enough oil on a cotton ball to make the product work effectively. The best application is 3 drops directly on a gloved finger and then massaging the oil on the clean area every 6 hours. I have been using essential oils for years for all kinds of ailments. I have had great success with them for a variety of ailments. It makes sense that german chamomile and calendula would be in this formula. Both are very mild and work for terrible burns of any kind. I intend to keep using this product and will buy another bottle and use that as well to make sure the tissue has healed completely. Personally, I believe this product is the only thing out there to fix this problem. Addendum: July 6, 2013 The above review was done in March. Now it is almost 4 months later, and I am on my 2nd bottle of Fissure Control and getting ready to purchase my 3rd bottle. I must say I am 99% better. I no longer have the anal fissure. It completely healed. I no longer have any pain when I defecate and no blood. For me, this is a miracle. I suffered for over 10 months with constant pain and bleeding. I highly recommend this essential oil regimen. It works. You must apply the oil directly to the rectal area after every bowel movement and reapply between movements if you have any pain. I also apply it every night before i go to sleep as good measure. While the fissure was healing, I upped my water instake to 80oz a day to keep my stools soft to aid in the healing. It worked. It also has helped with an external hemorroid I have had for 30+ years. It has really made it almost disappear.

I wish I found this sooner. For people saying it doesn't work their not doing it properly. Let me tell you how your suppose to use it for it to work. Wash your area really good dry the area then put on a glove and take 3 drops on your finger and rub it on that area then do it again. Do this about 3 times a day and after using the bathroom it will heal it quickly. Do not use cotton swap or anything use a glove and appy it directly to the area. Im healed and still using it as a precaution just only after using bathroom now. Im on my 3rd going on 4th bottle. It's expensive but worth it.

I've been dealing with fissures for close to a year and a half. I'd seen a doctor several times who didn't really help much, even with a fissurectomy. The discomfort/itching was so bad I was using Recticare constantly, to the point where I'd developed some immunity to it and it stopped working. I was desperate, and so I did my own research. I read a review on this product that recommended using this oil in tandem with things like, washing the effected area 2-3 times a day, two 20 minute sitz baths a day (I picked up the one that sits on your toilet), and sitting on a heating pack for 20 minutes three times a day to increase blood flow. I can't claim this product alone healed my insanely frustrating fissures, but I will say that using it alongside the other things did finally heal the fissures I had. 10/10 recommend if you do this with the other things I stated above. The oil specifically: it did relieve a little of the discomfort for the first week or so.
