Bought 2 for side yard off kitchen.
I have a small area where I needed shade for coffee moments outside of my kitchen door. Fireplace juts out, so had to go with 2 half canopy umbrellas and 2 half umbrella stands. Creative solution but soled shade problem

Still Thinking
Had it one day. It rained and its already rusting. May return it. Not sure.

Really good half umbrella stand
Extremely well made. Includes rubber screw-on “feet” which are great for letting water flow through instead of daming up and causing damage. The “feet” also keep the stand from scraping. While all the photos show the stand holding an umbrella against a wall I needed a stand that would sit on my porch and allow the half umbrella to go out over the grass. (Where I live you can not have anything on the grass.) The area to be shaded is 15’L X 4’ D with an over hang the same size. Overhang is the balcony of the second floor units.I gave the stand 4 stars because I would have liked to have had a little more weight on the full side of the stand to prevent tipping regardless of which way the umbrella sat.

If I could give this zero stars, I would!
This umbrella base is totally useless! It falls over when the umbrella isn’t even opened up yet! I’m appalled they can sell a product that is so poorly designed, and is therefore, obsolete. Not to mention, it was packaged horribly, with nothing to protect it. The box had a massive hole in it and was mangled, leaving the item badly scratched. Now I must try to figure out how to package this piece of crap for return transit. What an all-around pain in the butt this purchase experience has turned out to be. So irritating!

Looks like it cost more than it did
I like the look of this base especially given the price. It looks and feels well-constructed. I have had no issues with it tipping forward but it is not heavy enough to prevent tipping if your umbrella is open on a windy day.

Very nice base and perfect for a smaller sized outdoor space
Very nice base and perfect for a smaller sized outdoor space. However, because it isn't a full size base it lacks a little in stability. Sandbags were necessary to keep it from falling over on windy days.

I like how it looks and it is heavy
I like how it looks and it is heavy, but tightening bolt doesn't hold and rubber gasket keeps popping out.But if you secure umbrella midway its fine.

Base is heavy...
Actually I did not put the umbrella in the center of small wrought Iron table. As I have vinyl privacy fence I used the half umbrella with the base between fence and table. I shortened the pole and it works great slightly above the fence. Metal base holist in place.
