Wow. I didn’t realise how many flies it could catch. When full I managed to get better value for money by closing the top until they stopped buzzing and then chucked nearly all away (carefully cos it’s does stink) and then topped the remainder up with more water. No break in the fly catching either. Much better than the red topped ones.

I bought this to use in my kitchen. It smelled so bad that I thought I accidentally left some meat out that rotted. I immediately threw it out. It works great, but the smell makes it unusable indoors!

I bought this bait after having great success with the Victor M380 Reusable Fly Trap and the bait that comes with it (a great product for it's purpose as well). I just wanted to see if I could find a cheaper effective refill for the container. This stuff smells just as horrible and draws just as many flies. I live where the weather gets hot in the summer months and the trap fills in a week or two. However, on cooler days it doesn't seem to draw as many. Just be patient. It works when it matters. Having an inexpensive and effective replacement for the bait is great.For those reviewers complaining about the fly larvae, I expect that's normal and any hatched flies will be unable to escape the container, just like every other fly that enters the trap. Another word of advice, wear gloves if you are going to empty and reuse the trap. Soap will not remove the stench this bait leaves behind...
