I have 20 year old ones in a new house model ei 161, will there be a standard fitting and just click into the existing ceiling mount?

I believe so. I inherited 15 year old ones and the new ones just replaced them

do these alarms come with base plates ,because they probably wouldnt fit the old DETA base

I had to make up some stand off from the ceiling because the base would not fit over the ceiling rose I had. The base on my units were solid , no holes for the rose. hope this helps.
