Another page-turner
Hard to believe we're at book 15 already. This time, Nick is making progress towards a hearing into recent events. Without giving a spoiler away, you will know about what is happening after events in the previous book. You shouldn't read this as a standalone. At the same time, Ruth and Georgie investigate when the body of a young man from India is discovered in the ruins of an old asylum. The team join forces with another team when there are links to human trafficking, forced prostitution and drug dealing and money laundering.I find these books so easy to read. I tend to get dragged in from the start and just don't want to put it down. This was no exception and I read it in a day. It's fast moving and there are certain twists to throw you, and the ending.... well, let's just say it ends on a cliffhanger. Now it feels like forever to wait unti the next one comes out to see what happens. I'm eager and frustrated in equal measure.

Book review
Enjoyed this book as I'm from Denbigh but couldn't focus where certain places were. However story line good with a real sting in the tail.

Another great crime story.
Another complicated crime story dealing with human trafficking and murder, with plenty of twists and turns for DI Hunter and the team to sort through. DS Evans manages to bring his situation to a satisfactory conclusion and be reunited with his family. The twist at the end has meant I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Another great read
Another great installment, although again it finishes on a cliff hanger which I didn't see coming until late on!Disappointed there are not that many left in the series to read!

Another brilliant book
Another brilliant book with lots of mystery, twists and turns. The final twist was brilliantly done too, I can't wait for the next one in the series.

More McCleave action
Not perfect writing style to me, too much explaining detail and underestimating the readers intelligence but another easy read yarn that still has you turning pages and wanting to find out what happened next.

Real cliffhanger!
An excellent read throughout and, what a cliffhanger at the end? Well worth reading, as are all of the Simon McCleave books that I have read.

Love the whole 18 book series.
Waiting impatiently for the 18th and final book of the series to be published on paper. DI Ruth Hunter is a star but her relationships with her co-workers is a huge part of the story. Learned a lot about dealing with alcohol addiction and the importance of AA.

Good story
Fast paced with plenty of tension keeps the pages turning. DI Hunter has several things to keep on top of in this thriller. Two murders, multiple suspects, an international trafficking scheme and her sergeant trying to get out of prison all make the to do list. At the end of the day it's unclear whether justice is truly served on any of those issues despite Ruth's best efforts.
