Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant 48 hours, (Invisible Dry) Revive, 5 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Please read this review in its entirety. This review is for what Amazon lists as the "Dove (2 pack) Dry Antiperspirant Spray 48 hour Deodorant". Consider this a fair warning. Do NOT buy this product. It is definitely counterfeit Dove and will make your underarms stink like you haven't showered in years. I'll explain how I knew they were fake. I used it once and immediately noticed a very cheap perfume smell. Within minutes, the cheap perfume smell disappeared and I suddenly had the WORST most pungent body odor wreaking directly from my underarms. I knew something was very wrong. It's very important to note that even when I don't wear deodorant at all, I never ever have body odor. Without deodorant I only become sweaty. Luckily I had saved the bottles of Dove 48 hour antiperspirant spray that I bought in-person from Walgreens so I compared those bottles with the counterfeit Dove bottles I ordered from Amazon (see the photos I included here). You can see that the logos on the real Dove 48 hour bottles have very vibrant, dark and rich colors. I ordered this 2 pack bc I actually liked it when I bought it at the drug store it worked amazingly well. Getting counterfeit Dove on Amazon wasn't even a possibility that crossed my mind. I wish Amazon would do a better job of banning fake/counterfeit items. It's unfair and could potentially be dangerous to the body since we don't really know what chemicals are in counterfeit deodorant. I tried to get refund by returning this 2-pack but apparently it is not returnable. I contacted Amazon customer service and was told this return request would be "investigated". They also said they would contact me within 24-48 hours. I still have not heard back from Amazon Customer Service. This is the worst experience and 11 bucks wasted on fake Dove.

I couldn't understand why this wasn't lasting as long or had the scent like the ones I've purchased for a few years from stores. Finally, after checking the canister, I found a printed label placed over the manufacturer's label. That's concerning!

Something is seriously wrong with these sprays - I have been using dove spray deodorant for a year now and the second I spray these they BURNIdk what’s wrong with it but maybe it’s not really a legit Dove product and counterfeit? I don’t know but ot is frightening

Unlike the one I planned to replace. It's totally unacceptable. Haven't returned it... too much trouble going to the post office.

I was looking for a spray that did not leave residue on my clothes, dried quickly, and didn’t have an overpowering scent. This is it! I wear a lot of dark clothes including sleeveless tops and this left no residue around the armholes. I usually put it on in the morning while I’m waiting for my fave toner to dry and it is always dry almost instantly. I would prefer completely scentless but the scent is light enough so as to not be cloying upon application and dissipates very quickly to a lite scent that I barely notice.Bonus: I usually have a difficult time finding a deodorant and antiperspirant that actually works that doesn’t irritate my underarms. This product works even while working out and on stressful days. I have definitely put it to the test and it works. And finally no underarm irritation or break outs.Would definitely recommend and will most definitely purchase again.

This item doesn't seem to be anything like any dove products I've purchased over the last 20+ years. The smell is incredibly strong and it almost burns your nostrils. It doesn't provide any protection as far as sweating. I was wondering what was wrong with it.. I wish I would've read other reviews before wasting money on this.

I have purchased several Dove brand items from Amazon and was never disappointed until this purchase. This antiperspirant seems to be only AIR and SCENT. There is no actual antiperspirant in this. Your armpits will smell decent until you start sweating. I’ll start buying in my local stores again.

I was on the lookout for a replacement deodorant that is a spray (I usually get mine through friends in Europe that are aluminum free), but the whole supply chain (thanks so much covid) is currently not going. I bought those, to see if they are good, they smell nice and work fantastic. They are not aluminum free, but if you want spray deodorant, there are not many out there. I don't like the gels or rollers, they always leave a sticky feeling. I think those will do for now and the price is actually not too bad.
