Laurel & Hardy: Year One (Flicker Alley) [Blu-ray]

I wrote booklet notes, provided the commentaries, and assembled the photo galleries for this forthcoming release. I've seen the transfers of the films, and I guarantee you will be astounded at the gorgeous quality. I am 64 and have been watching Laurel and Hardy films since I was five; these films in particular were always heretofore in very battered condition. I don't know where this pristine source material has been hiding for 90 years (actually scattered in archives all over the world, usually a fragment or section here and another one there). Congratulations and blessings to Serge Bromberg and his Lobster Films team, and to the folks at Flicker Alley for combining their talents on this spectacular release.

I don't ordinarily write a review for something unreleased (first time, in fact), I'm just so excited!Knowing Flicker Alley, we'll be in for a real treat. I apologize for the useless "review", just needed to expressmy joy. Long live L&H!
