I don’t know how they dry it or roast it, or where their beans come from…but this is hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had in 41 years of drinking coffee. No bitter aftertaste, no stomach problems. The flavor is just flat out phenomenal. It took me about 30 minutes to grind it all and put it in this old 2.11lb Folgers container. What surprised me was that 5lbs filled up this 2.11lb container. So that tells me that Folgers is somehow “fluffing” their coffee up, cuz this was completely full when I bought it from the store. There is a coffee place here in Virginia Beach, VA that sells it in drinks only and my wife and I always go there. She told me that the #1 customer voted coffee place in America sold Onyx Coffee…so that should tell you something right there. Is it pricey? Yep…but I don’t mind. All I can say is that you won’t be disappointed by the flavor.

Great roast and blend for a pour over. Try smooth and no bitterness. I use a 15:1 water to coffee ratio with a chemex pour over. I pour right off the boil, Bloom for 30 seconds top off to 200ml of water let it settle a bit and then pour the remaining 100ml. Terrific flavors and wonderful aroma. Low acidity roast when brewed as above.

This is amazing coffee. When I received it, the first thing I noticed was that the beans were roasted 3 days before. I’ve had difficulty getting fresh roasted coffee on Amazon before but this shipped direct from the manufacturer. The flavor is really good. After drinking it for a few days I brewed some coffee with Sbucks beans again and my wife asked me what was wrong with it. This could be a problem; when you get used to good coffee, it’s difficult to go back to the old stuff. If you really enjoy your coffee , it is worth it.

Its really good coffee, but my palate isn't so sophisticated that I need to spend $30 + per pound on coffee. It was worth a try and I like the fact the company is based here in Arkansas. Once was enough for me.

My only issue is that they use USPS for shipping. If you want really slow shipping and no way to know where your package actually is, use the slow and ineffective USPS. Otherwise, the coffee is delicious. It's clear they care about product (bean) quality.

This coffee comes out light brown/CLEAR! It tastes SOUR and so tannic. I lime my coffee to be so 'thick' that it almost has a filling quality. This is like hot sour water. The beans are so dry they have lost all their natural oils and likely their rich flavor. Do not buy this coffee if you like it dark, rich and creamy.

This coffee is delicious beyond words. Amazing flavor, high quality, very fresh every time. Someone bought it for me as a gift and now it is my favorite. I am generally pretty picky about coffee, so if you are a bougie coffee drinker..... order a bag of Southern Weather! You will not regret it.
