Maxpedition Men's Minimalist

I got this one for myself. Really nicely made. Much slimmed down from a similar style of 20 years ago. I never realized it, but I must have had 25+ cards from different stores in my old wallet. I took my makeup out of my purse and it was still heavy and I had no idea from what! Well, I am cutting back and will see how it goes. On this wallet, there are nice velcro straps that hold your credit cards securely, even though the slots are very ample. My husband did machine wash my 20 year old wallet and it came out great - like new. I am keeping it. But these new ones are constructed as nice as the old ones. Very, very nice. Again, a really decent price too~!!! Try one out!

This wallet is kickass. After my old leather wallet finally gave up the ghost I decided to get this beast of a wallet. It is bombproof and all of your personal effects will not fly apart if this is dropped. To open it you need to undo the massive velco strap which is LOUD. But who cares when you are at the checkout line? I actually was asked about it by a cute girl standing at the checkout line. There are plenty of pockets for your cards and straps to hold them in place. There are also hidden pockets to hold spare car keys, car docs, credit card sized multi tool, etc... Warning, the cards will not stagger, so you had better know what is in your wallet.... It may take some work to pull out cards if you stack them. Also, dollars will not fit into this wallet unfolded. You will have to fold them in half to stuff them in. Not a problem for me, sigh....

Oh yea, baby!! First, I have been down the road of the leather bi-fold & tri-fold wallets. Throw in a leather Harley-Davidson leather wallet along the way and I can tell you - all 3 make me mad. Too thick & heavy. I had gotten to the point of carrying only my driver's license, insurance card and a few $$$ in my front pocket, leaving the wallet in my truck.I read several reviews & watched several YouTube videos and I thought "What the heck! Give it a try." I am glad that I did. The Maxpedition wallet is well made, light weight & high quality. I took everything out of my H-D wallet, placed in the Maxpedition wallet and dropped in my rear pocket. DANG! I could hardly tell it was there. Same for my front pocket. Even with all of my cards and a few $$$ in it, the light weight & slim profile are still evident. I may get a few of these for the guys in the family for Christmas presents.I almost forgot - I got this wallet in black. Don't drop it in a dark room - you won't find it.Another great Maxpedition product. I do not think you can go wrong with this wallet.

A wallet is a pretty personal item so it has taken a couple of weeks to decide whether to make this my wallet or not. Wallets go through a trial period of testing and are adopted by the owner or abandoned. I'm going to make this my official wallet. This wallet replaces a 15- or 20-year-old Eagle Creek bifold that had grown so floppy that I was worried the credit cards would fall out if I wasn't careful. I would get another Eagle Creek but they don't make my old wallet anymore and I'm not a fan of their new styles .The wallet is pretty stiff since it's made from heavier material but it's not too thick, just a little more than the Eagle Creek. I didn't think I would like the velcro security straps covering the credit card slots but I now like them because the cards will never accidentally fall out. I wanted a velcro closure to the wallet for better wallet integrity/security but the amount of velcro is so much on this wallet that the sound of opening it can be a little distracting. About half of the velcro would probably be enough and I may try to fix that.There is one problem with the design of the wallet which would have been a deal-breaker if I couldn't fix it. And I hope that Maxpedition will pay attention. The pocket that holds paper money is EXACTLY the length of US paper money. Bills can fit in there without unwanted folding and creasing but only if you put the bills in very carefully and adjust. It's pretty difficult to add a single bill to others already in the wallet without crumpling or folding it, thus adding extra bulk to the stack of bills.Here is the fix. Open the wallet and lay flat so the velcro fold-over flap is to your left, credit card slots facing up. To the far left of the credit card slots is a vertical seam with two vertical stitch lines. Take out the leftmost line of stitches. That will open up the bill storage area so the bills can be slid toward the lefthand velcro foldover closure as you insert them allowing you to smooth out unwanted creases and foldovers. This modification helps but it wasn't enough for me and it didn't duplicate the easy bill access of the Eagle Creek wallet.Phase two is to free up the bill storage area so it swings out and opens up the full area to insert bills without restriction. Clip the little connection of the credit card pocket assembly to the back of the wallet near the top edge so that the whole credit card holder assembly can swing forward and allow unfettered access to the bill storage area. When the wallet is folded up again with velcro closure, everything is secure.With this change, this is a good wallet that should last a long time.

My old wallet was the same thickness as this one, but not nearly as long. The length of this wallet makes it more comfortable to sit on consistently.For a wallet like this, I started adding small items that I might need on a daily basis and can disappear into this thick nylon. In the folds of this beast of a wallet, I added:5 BandaidsKikkerland CD401 multi tool8" of duct tape rolled1 Stainless handcuff key$40 emergency cash in an almost hidden fold.In the first week, I used 2 bandaids, the multitool and duct tape. I would not have the room or pockets enough for all that in my old short leather wallet. 5 stars for the toughest and most spacious wallet you can find.(Edit) 5 Year Update: I heated up a nail and pushed it through both walls of nylon near the velcro in order to attach this wallet to my keys. The resulting attachment is probably strong enough to hang from. I have not misplaced my keys or wallet in the 4 years since I made this modification. This wallet's mesh pockets chew up credit cards pretty quickly, but the structure, stitching, and function of this wallet have remained absolutely unscathed through 5 years of very hard use.

I always know where my husband is with the sound of velcro. He loves this item amongst others that he prizes. It is very sturdy and fits in most pockets and jackets.
