I bought this for a recent trip and it was more useful than I expected. It was easy to attach to the tray table and felt secure during the flight. I used it to hold my drink and it helped free up some space. It was nice not having to worry about spilling my cup. The size is small, so it fits easily in a backpack or carry-on. It also worked well for holding my phone while watching videos. The material feels decent for the price. Overall, it made traveling a little more comfortable and convenient.

We have flown Southwest, Hawiian and American and this thing just doesn't work! (My husband keeps asking why I bring it.) The little gap for hooking into the tray is too big, so it sags. So when you put a cup in, it tips and spills. Tried flipping it and tucking into the bottom holder, that worked a little better, but A) SUPER easy to bump. I spilled diet coke all over my bag. B) It still sags, so you can't put an open cup (which most planes offer) in it unless you have drank at least half of it. If, and only if, you have a pre-bought drinks in a large cup with a lid and straw and it gets wider at the top, it will work. It won't be secure, but if you're careful, it will hold it.

These do what they are designed to do but smaller cups just don't fit and will slide through. Some airplanes make them more difficult to use. Worth buying but just know the limitations. It is one more item you have to carry that may or may not be helful.

Unfortunately, this cop holder has a major design flaw: even the smallest bump or turn causes drinks to tip or spill. I tested it with various sizes of drinks, and each time, a minor jolt was enough to send liquid spilling over the sides or the drink toppling out completely. The grip around the cup is either too loose or not deep enough, making it unreliable. While it might be okay for stationary use, I wouldn’t it again. It’s frustrating to have a product that can’t handle basic use, and I ended up with multiple spills to clean up. This cup holder needs a serious redesign to better secure drinks in place.

Was excited to try it out on our last trip but it didn't work well at all, and we flew on 4 different airlines. It worked for holding yr phone when on a flat tray surface, but holding a drink cup did not work. Since it's past the return window, I'll keep it and try again in another airplane on my next trip.

This little plastic ring works like a dream! I have used it on numerous flights to put my coffee cup in while I’ve been loading my carry-on into the overhead bin or holding my cup while I’m sitting in my seat So I didn’t always have to have the tray down. The flight attendant won’t let you have it hanging there during takeoff, and the only real limitation is you have to be careful if somebody is moving past you to get in and out to use the washroom as it knocks off very easily, but otherwise I have no complaints! On the last flight, I used it on, the flight attendant saw it, got quite excited and asked me where I got it. I told her Amazon, and she called me a wizard! Which I thought was pretty funny. She called me a wizard through the whole entire rest of the flight.

It's a nice idea but not sturdy for drinks good for balancing your tablet on to watch a movie
