Excellent addition to my hobby desk
I recently picked up this McKLords airbrush cleaning solution because I am fed up with my nozzles getting clogged with dried acrylic paint. It comes in a 250ml bottle which is a decent size and should last a good while if you are just doing regular maintenance. It is made in the United Kingdom and is a liquid format that is specifically designed for removing water-based acrylics from your airbrush components. The cleaning power is really impressive and it is brilliant at shifting stubborn paint. I find that it works best when you use it between colour changes to prevent any unwanted mixing or tip dry. It even says it helps to lubricate the internal parts, so I have stopped using my old "blue gunk" lubricant and so far the needle movement is still very smooth. It is much more effective than just using plain water which often leaves a residue behind. Compared to using a general multi-purpose thinner or a solvent-based cleaner, this feels a bit safer to use on plastic surfaces. While some artists use high-strength solvents, they can sometimes perish the O-rings in cheaper airbrushes, whereas this dedicated solution is much gentler. However, if you have really heavy buildup like dried primer, you might still need a bit of manual scrubbing with a cotton tip or a needle set to get it perfectly spotless. One thing to watch out for is that the bottle doesnt have a dropper top, so it can be a bit tricky to pour exactly a few millilitres into the paint cup without making a mess. I usually transfer some into a smaller dropper bottle to make it easier to handle. Also, while it is great value, you can sometimes find twin-packs online which work out even cheaper if you do a lot of spraying. Overall, it is a high quality cleaner that keeps my kit in top condition.

Works really well and great value compared to other brands
Works really well and the airbrush is spotless afterwards. Only need a small amount to get a good clean result, but also great for filling the cup and giving the airbrush a good flushing out.
