This product arrived quickly and in minimal waste packaging. Over all its a nice cup, the strap is necessary but work and works pretty well. If you are going to make tea without the tea bag than dont bother with the straw. The cup is well made and I feel the price is fairly good. I would recommend this product.

This Argentinian mate kit comes with everything needed to make your tasty mate tea and I love complete package products. And on top of that it is very well made and really beautiful. I like that it comes with 2 straws which is great for sharing. I think it would be perfect as a gift idea as well. So if you are a mate tea lover or know someone who is I would definitely recommend getting this Argentinian mate kit for yourself or as a gift.

I've been enjoying some of my herbal teas a bit more in this maté cup.What I like is that the straw does filter out majority of the tea leaves or blend. It's not fine mesh, so anything really small will get through, especially as the liquid in the cup decreases with drinking. That said, again, it filters pretty well, and allows me to let my herbals to continue steeping as I drink and get stronger, which really works for fruit blends.The base of the cup is double-walled, so there is relatively little to no heat transfer. However, the thickness of the double-wall insulation does decrease and taper towards the top, so the higher you grip, the hotter it could be. For the most part, I'm able to hold it pretty comfortably towards the bottom and haven't had much trouble with it being hotter towards the top.My one complaint, or maybe caveat, is that it can be VERY easy to burn your tongue or mouth if you're not careful. I have done this a couple times when I take too quick and/or big of a sip while it's still very hot. I'm impatient and also not accustomed to drinking hot drinks through a straw.The only other fault, honestly, is that I was sent the wrong color. I ordered it in black, and you can even see that the box is marked as "black", but the cup inside was the wood grain version. Luckily, I actually didn't have much of a strong preference for either version, but that could be more important to others.
