Love these!
Ok, so they are not the highest quality and probably won't work for that long. But they are so unique, interesting, and fun! Load like a real gun, with rubber ammo, a magazine, working magazine release, and everything! So cool! I have seriously never seen something like this, and didn't know anybody made them. Highly recommend for serious gun-lovers who want their kids to have something more realistic. It doesn't shoot with much force, but that's ok. But use these to teach gun safety: Never aim at anything you don't wish to actually shoot, even while pretending; always treat every gun as though it is loaded; and always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Be safe!EDIT added almost a year later: We have enjoyed these guns for almost a year, and they never failed to delight. Finally today an internal plastic part broke and fell out of the gun. So naturally we unscrewed the screws and took a look inside. There is amazing detail and quality in this little toy, for being just a cheap toy! Very pleased with these guns, and immediately went to find another one to replace this broken one. Awesome toy. But remember to BE SAFE! Teach your young ones right from the beginning never to point any gun at anyone, loaded or unloaded, real or pretend, doesn't matter. If people would just learn gun safety early, there wouldn't be so much fear of guns out there!

Both broke within 10 days
My son loved these, worked for the money to buy these, bought extra clips and bullets to go with them, was extra careful with them...5 days ago the plastic piece attached to the spring the cocks the gun broke, he was extremely bummed...just now (10 short days from delivery) the second broke in the exact same manner!!! I am very sad and disappointed for my son who is absolutely devastated that something he worked hard to earn is broken so soon, when he was so careful with them! He lost 40 bucks in all, the magazines and spare bullets are useless without these guns... colossal waste of his money!!!

Great for training
These "toys" actually work surprisingly well as training tools for firearms instructors. They do a good job and at this price, buying plenty of them is no big deal

Some good, some bad
Bad news first: Aim high, because the bullets only travel about five feet. Pull the slide ALL the way back, or the bullets won't load. Internal parts generously lubricated with an odorless, clear substance (vegetable oil), so take care not to get it all over the bullets or your hands when loading the magazine. Don't drop (or pistol-whip anybody): these guns are not fragile, but not particularly sturdy, either. Bullets are small enough to choke on, so don't shoot your friend in the mouth or let a very small child play with them.Good news: Very inexpensive. Accurate size and proportions of real 1911-type .45 caliber pistol. Loading magazines and operating the slide very similar to the real thing, so these could be used for educational and/or training purposes. Bullets are rubber-tipped and move so slowly it's unlikely they'll ever hurt anyone. Bright colors make it unlikely they'll ever be mistaken for a real gun while your kids are playing with them.

Good purchase.
Bought this for my five year old for his Christmas present. He absolutely loves them! He loves the glow in the dark feature! He loves how the clip comes out. Easy for him to pull back. These are cheaply made sadly enough so they probably won’t last long but he’s so happy with them.

Does not work well
The idea behind these is actually great. If it didn't keep jamming, I'd easily rate this 5 stars. I love that it has a real magazine type of design, complete with a magazing release button. The slide works well, and the overall feel is very impressive for a toy gun. The problem is that it keeps jamming for no apparent reason after only one or two shots. Basically when it works, it's great, but when it doesn't, it's a massive PITA. Now in my case I got these as a visual aid type of thing, and so the toy function wasn't that important. However, if I'd gotten this as a gift for one of my nieces, I'd have been extremely upset. If they improve the build on these, they would be amazing. I'd be happy to pay a bit more for something that actually works correctly, and I'd totally get this as a toy if they fixed it.

Awesome Toy
I got these as a gag gift for myself and a friend who are both into 1911s. These are surprisingly accurate in look and function of a 1911. They have a 5 round magazine each, and the pack comes with 20 or so rounds. The rounds are semi-hard, and do sting depending on distance and layers of clothing. I am not sure I would recommend for small children due to this. Would definitely buy again, especially considering the price
