Faithfull Engineers Steel Try Square 50mm (2in) – Precision Ground, Hardened Steel Blade, Accurate Marking, Measuring & Layout Tool for Metalworking & Woodworking

Wish I'd bought this years ago ! I have a 150mm engineer's square but, because it is a bit top heavy (as it must be because of its foot) I have found that, when trying to mark across the edge of a 3/4" board, the weight of it lifts the blade very slightly unlesss I'm pressing down on the foot. This little jewel totally solves that problem for me. Just lay it flat where it's supposed to be, and it stays there, good as gold (or in this case steel) Laid out lines and turned her over and the other line ws perfectly square. Even the packaging gets 5 stars because there was no need to find snips or some other monstrous tool to get this little gem out. The plastic package wasn't sealed, just a matter of pulling the edge and it was in my hot little hand. As I said, wish I'd got this ages ago. Now, to put it in a nice accessible place : )

I bought this to help set up blade and fence for my bandsaw, it's the perfect size for the job in my opinion.

Lovely little item essential for model building and crafting. Nicely made. Robust. Everyone should have one. Only small, but do are most of the things I make. Definitely recommend.

I bought this 2 inch engineer's square and a 4 inch one from the same maker. They are both sturdy and well finished. The 4 inch one showed to be very square, but the 2 inch one is very slightly over 90 degrees. The picture attached shows them back-to-back and there is light between them at the bottom. I will keep them both, but the 2 inch square could have been better. Edit: After consideration, I have sent the 2 inch square back for a refund. Have ordered a similar one from another maker, this time complying with BS939 standard.

Sometimes a normal size square is too big for the job at hand - especially for internal angles where larger square just won't fit. Not much to say about it, but it does the job perfectly. I just wanted a general purpose "small square". However Faithfull have a range of smaller squares like this one. If you have a specific application in mind it may be worth checking which size suits you best. Ruled edges would be a nice extra.

Strong and well made. Square enough for my purposes. Perfect for those little jobs. Should last a lifetime.

Bought this to help get into the inside corners of some boxes and it fits and works beautifully, Got a nice weight to it too so doesn't feel like it will break or bend during use/

Io la uso per modellismo , ma la sua robustezza la può vedere bene anche in ambienti più impegnativi. L'ho comparata con altre squadre a 90° certificate ed è precisa. Ben rifinita, un buon prodotto.
