The back of the skin has a grid pattern which is a lifesaver for alignment, but don't rush the process. I found that cleaning the laptop lid with a bit of isopropyl alcohol first is mandatory to get that "factory finish" look without trapped dust bunnies creating mini-mountains under the vinyl. It’s a thick, laminated vinyl that feels like it can actually take a beating. We’re talking about protection against the inevitable keys-in-the-bag scratches and the general "patina" of coffee shop tables. The matte finish is a smart choice; it does a fantastic job of hiding oily fingerprints that usually plague bare metal or plastic lids. In terms of usability, the adhesive is the "Goldilocks" of glue - sticky enough to stay put through heat cycles, but forgiving enough that you can peel it back and reposition it during the initial install if you get a bubble. Performance-wise, it does exactly what it says on the tin without messing with your hardware. Some people worry about thermal issues, but since this only covers the outer lid, your fans and heat sinks stay clear. The "easy remove" claim holds up, too. This is a great way to give your laptop a fun look. Only the most popular laptop models have dedicated cases made for them. . . for the rest of us, these stickers are a great option. You do have to cut them down to size. The attached picture was cut down on 2 sides to fit this laptop. Just be sure to measure twice and cut with nice sharp scissors, and you will be fine. There is a grid on the back to help, and it is very easy to mark the grid with pencil and a ruler so you can cut a straight line. The sticker is very sticky, but it's just right. It goes on pretty smoothly, without any problems with air bubbles underneath (still, put it on carefully, smoothing it down slowly from one corner to the other to try to avoid bubbles). It sticks very well, but if you really must peel it off to redo it, it does peel off. I actually had to peel it 1/2 way off twice after it was mostly applied, just to make sure I was getting it on straight. It has a sort of semi-matte finish, and looks really nice once it's applied. the whole process took me about 10 minutes (measuring, cutting, application, etc.). The sticker is fairly thin, but tough, plastic. I wouldn't say it's much good for "protection" unless you're thinking of just very minor scratches. It certainly won't help if it's dropped or anything. The plastic sticker material kind of reminds me of the plastic book cover stickers you could put on paperback books to help protect the cover. It's the same sort of idea here. Final Rating: 5 stars. Pick a fun pattern, cut it to size, stick it on the laptop, and enjoy.

It’s sticky But, can’t get the edges to lay flat or stick down after cutting to the correct size. Rough edges are annoying not sticking to the sides of the laptop But will order again because I love the colors and design on it.

Sticker was of better quality than expected, similar to cardstock. The image on the sticker was also brighter than expected. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to cut it to fit my laptop. The back provides gridlines to guide yourself, but if the size of your laptop falls in between the large grid boxes then you must estimate a straight line and cut through it. I was unable to cut it exactly to size, but at least now my laptop has a bit of protection against superficial scratches and wear.

Ugly after placing it on the computer it looked ugly and made the computer hotter. Took it t off and put it in the trash. Also smells bad. Chemicals smells!

looked everywhere for a case for my daughters Acer 15inch chromebook and couldn't find one. This works in the meantime. For aesthetic purposes its perfect, it doesn't protect it but its cute.

Je cherchais un moyen pour personnaliser mon portable et j'adore le résultat! Je ne pensais pas être capable de le découper et de l'installer moi-même, mais cela est relativement simple et facile. Je me suis fait un gabarit sur papier en premier. Il suffit de bien mesurer et de prendre son temps. Facile à décoller pour se reprendre si l'alignement nest pas correct. Je suis très satisfaite du produit final. Les coins sont un peu difficile à faire. Ils ne sont pas parfaits, mais cela n'est pas trop visible. Le sticker est d'une qualité remarquable et donne l'aspect de cuir. Donne une apparence haut de gamme. J'adore, je suis très satisfaite et je le recommande vivement! :)

This cover is thick and fulfills all its promises ( waterproofing, thick and etc) except the coloration. Don't go on this product's color as per the picture. Even though it has the same design, it is very blurry (feels like a printout of a 480p pixel, stretched out to fill a 1080 p screen). 2 stars deducted : 1) dull color, nothing like the picture (aka false advertising) 2) blurry design
