Why did you pick this product vs others?: Been using these for nearly 2 years and they have been great. They breath well enough and provide a good amount of protection from sweat, into the helmet. I like that these are long and you can tuck them into the jacket to avoid neck sunburn. So far 2 years, daily uses, and regular washings; they have held up wonderfully.

Really enjoy this. After trying so many, this is my go to for motorcycle riding. Other balaclavas are so short, it becomes undone and whips my neck with my jacket on. This is long enough for front and back to not lift out. The cooling effect is great and fits snug with my helmet. Purchased another pair.

Just got it yesterday wore today for work and riding my motorcycle. Works well at taming my long hair under my helmet. Is comfortable in the southern heat of the mid-80s will caution to always hydrate when riding or doing anything outside as this will wick the sweat from you; however, will not cool you without a breeze. For the sun protection I can't say anything to that effect as I work night shift and ride dusk / dawn before the sun really comes out. Fitment is a bit different than the usual balaclava if you're used to the refrigiwear brand of balaclava or rothco for my head and size it was large enough and stretchy enough to allow removal like the flash does his hood in the show, to wear just as a neck gaiter under my shirt. Wore in a refrigerated warehouse for 9+hours and didn't have an issue. The neck portion does dip down to be worn underneath a shirt or jacket so if you're wanting something that doesn't fit underneath something don't get this. I chose this product for the images that show it going about mid to the sternum, while it doesn't go that low to me, it would cover my chest even if I was wearing a V neck shirt from Hanes. So it does it's job of being under my riding gear whether a vest or full jacket. It's breathable but warm enough I don't think I'd be against wearing it during our mild-winters. This isn't a cold weather hood, but for the humid / southeastern falls would be great. Durability is still to be tested regarding how the fabric holds up to stretching, wear and tear within industrious use. As I will not be gentle with this as I am not with most of my gear, I try to get good gear for the durability and longevity of it's use; however, at the cost I got it for if it lasts for 6 months I'd be happy with it.

Like the lightweight fabric for this balaclava. Excellent coverage and I like the extra neck coverage. Most balaclavas only cover the head and face and this goes all the way to the shoulders which I appreciate. Nice to have the extra layer for colder conditions.

I like it. It fits well and is versatile—balaclava to neck gaiter. What I like best and the reason I bought it, is the length that covers the lower neck, back and most of the shoulders. I’ve only worn it once, so I can’t speak for the sun protection yet, but I definitely hope it is there.

These are awesome! I currently have 4. I am a big guy at 6'3", 325lbs, depending on who's asking, lol. They fit perfect over my noggin' and has plenty of neck coverage to spare. Only wish it was a bit longer to cover my beard which is almost down to my belly button when braided. I use them for sun protection at work on the RAIL (in Hawai'i) but with the pandemic, I can also use them for going out in public. I might look like the kung fu panda, but i can get my groceries and am allowed to go pretty much anywhere. As of Friday 17 Apr 2020, Hawaii has implemented that all personnel essential/ non essential must wear some sort of mask until further notice when out in public. Feels like being back in the Army again...Gas, gas , gas...lol
