Head units such as this Aphqua A3 have come a long way since last I bought a electronic upgraded car stereo, admittedly some years ago. With the 30 day return policy I felt comfortable orderingthis one since I just last week bought a Volvo with the factory in-dash stereo. Here is what I found:Pro:Portability. Replacing a car you own no longer means tossing aside a few hundred dollars worth of car stereo installation costs you've already paid for and starting over. Also means if you use a different family car, say for a long vacation trip, this unit can move with you temporarily. Would work in a rental car also.My phone is an android, Android-Auto lets my (wired) phone screen be replicated on the much larger Aphqua screen so whatever I can bring up on the phone is available scaled up. I can now see upcoming street names easily under Waze or other navigation software when I can not see them directly on the phone. Music or video or websites can all be mirrored. If you have an Apple phone you can do the equivalent wirelessly with CarPlay.Integrates with my BT phone. Voice dials to keep things safer and legal.Sends audio out to the in-dash car stereo on any unused FM frequency once specified on both this unit and the car stereo. Means the sound plays through the car's stereo system with much better fidelity than this unit could produce on its own.Accepts a Rear View Camera input, I've become used to this feature and would not want to do without it. Means I won't be hitting a car bumper or garage door let alone a person or pet when backing up.Accepts a mini-SD card of up though 32Gig.The included suction cup mount has a telescoping arm to bring the screen closer to you. Most similar units have a fixed suction cup mount.Other inputs/features as shown in the Amazon listing.Has a warranty just in case.Con:Portability cuts both ways. You'll likely want to move it off of your dashboard when left unattended to forestall theft. Nice to think you wouldn't need to, but unfortunately you do.

Could not ask for more. Works perfectly with my Samsung phone. WIRELESS android auto is very quick and works seamlessly. Plugs into my stock Furrion system and now I can stream Pandora and other apps! Now sounds great. Wireless FM transmitter works well, but I prefer the wired Auxiliary cable for sound. I could also put it in any vehicle I own, but they already have systems with android auto/apple car play. If you're on the fence, I recommend you purchase this!

Works well overall. But can’t see the screen with sunglasses on. Even non-polarized.

Have minimal time using it, but initial impressions are generally positive. Only negative so far, and one that is stopping further use for now, is that the windshield mount is supposed to be suction and the pad that came on mine is adhesive. I can hold it up for 10-15 seconds from my finger tip the pad is so sticky.I'll be reaching out to the seller about this and will adjust the rating as appropriate.----------------------2023-08-27 UpdateI've chatted with the vendor and the reason for the pad being adhesive is they were having issues with it holding up the unit if just suction. I don't personally feel that going to an adhesive pad was the right solution, but am accepting of their explanation as for why.To work around my not wanting to put an adhesive mount on my windshield I picked up a weighted pad for putting GPS units on RV dashes and that works excellently in my application.Even with the excessive heat of the last several weeks (routinely over 100f with heat indexes over 115F) neither the unit or the adhesive pad on the mounting arm have any problems.

Right out of the box this worked. Then we turned off the car and it would not work again. We reset it, tried it in a different car, read the reviews and FAQ's and nothing did the trick. Returning it for a refund.

Quick update. The device seems to not turn on when it has been left in the car in very hot or cold temperatures below 50 degrees. Once the interior is comfortable, it works. Probably a defective unit.Easy to use but the screen is a bit dark in the sunlight. Also provides proper radio interface unlike some cheaper models that don't allow you to select the exact radio station. Sound is also much better than the cheaper models too. This is my third apple play device for my older classic cars and son's Sequoia (spent $$$ for the in-dash version, but well worth it if their is a current screen to replace). These apple play devices really change the entire driving experience for the better without having to rip the dash apart or do permanent changes to the vehicle. Very good value.
