Excellent book, the guide contains all the items, recipes, weapons, armour, walkthrough guide, collectibles etc.. The books is logically ordered and has a useful index for quick lookup. Something to be careful of, is that the book doesn't like being opened for long as the method of binding doesn't allow the spine and glue to be open for long without damaging the spine. The book was well used by myself and the kids but if you're intending to keep this in a collectible state then be careful with keeping it open for too long. Highly recommended

We had the BOTW predecessor book in order to complete the game as much as possible - and like it, this TOTK version does not disappoint. But it is far more than that. Unlike many years ago - there are thousands of on-line guides, articles, videos, forums, etc. that can help with gameplay without the need to buy any book. So in that sense, if you are tight for cash, then no book is needed. But these books are more than that - with many gorgeous pictures, designs, maps, that is just a joy to flick through and read even if familiar with the material. Guides are naturally present for all quests, shrines, etc. and decent quality though perhaps sticking with the official way rather than short-cuts, glitches or similar "unofficial" ways to play. The other issue - that is hard online also - is not read ahead and "spoil" the game - but discover, attempt, etc. yourself before finding out through the book (or otherwise) how/where/why something is done. Maybe even try to complete the game (unless stuck) before checking out the book. If you have the cash, the more advanced versions do come with nice things but the Standard has plenty and for the money is a bargain.
