A little small if super heavy flow; otherwise perfect
I bought this a few months ago. I wanted to give menstrual cups a try, but didn't want to invest in an expensive one in case I didn't end up liking it, so I went for the cheapest one on Amazon at the time! This was a great decision. Obviously I haven't used any other menstrual cup so can't offer any comparison, but the comfycup works perfectly for me and I don't expect to buy another cup / go back to tampons any time soon.It was easy to put in even as a first-time user. Taking it out after my first night with the cup in was a little trickier (especially as I had trimmed half of the stem off for comfort), but after lots of un-ladylike poses in the bathtub it came out, and I've not had trouble removing it since. Some people have commented that the cup is a little too soft and can leak. I also had problems in the first couple of months. I think this had something to do with the way I was putting it in. I started with the punch-down fold, which made the cup smaller, but meant that it was harder to create a seal once inside. Recently I've started using the origami fold, which makes it noticeably easier to create a seal, and I've not had a problem with leaking since :)I used the cup instead of tampons on my recent holiday, and it was so liberating not having to worry about changing it every couple of hours, or worry about the string of my tampon showing when I'm swimming...My only criticism is that the cup is quite small (even for a small sized cup, compared to the small sizes of other brands it is still pretty small). This isn't a problem for me except on the first day, where my flow is a bit heavy and I have to change it two or three times (although that is still much less frequent than I would have had to change tampons).

Passed the test
Well, after reading loads of reviews online about menstrual cups I was very nervous about trying one out. I bought this one in the small size as many others advertised were about 3 times the price. It arrived quickly, and I have never been so excited about getting my period! It was easy to insert, with a bit of Erm...fiddling about and using my kegel muscles I managed to insert it. I've tried it standing up and lying down, there's no difference in technique really.I wore it all last night, washed it out and all day at work, changed it again and wore it to the gym. No leaks whatsoever. And I have a coil/IUD fitted. No problems getting it back out, I just break the seal by twisting it a bit and letting some air into...um...there haha!I'm glad that I've finally bought one, no more throwing tampons and pads into landfill for me.The only negative is that it might be a bit unhygienic if you were camping or at a festival or didn't have access to toilet facilities. But, as you can leave it in for 12 hours there should be plenty of time to fi d somewhere!

Sizing is tricky
The product itself is good quality, and I can see it is a good way of managing periods. However, I went with the sizing recommendations determined by age, got the large cup, and it is far too big, and therefore painful to use. Now need to order the small. Go with your own instincts on size.

Go for the smaller size!
It's pretty good.. although I'd go with the smaller size as I got size 2.. I'm in my 30s with 3 children and it feels a little too big. But no leaks all day. I'm going to buy the smaller one and see how it goes. Thumbs up so far!

Will not be using
I would not recommend this product and will not be using it ever again! The method of use to insert the cup and remove is made out to be so simple, but it is not. Insertion is fine. However, when it comes to removing the cup, it is a distressing experience! It took me with the help of my poor partner an hour an a half to remove the cup and we were on the verge of calling 111 or going to A&E. The cup acts as a suction cup and it does this so well that it felt impossible to remove, it sits too far up your body to follow the removal instructions as you are unable to reach the base of the cup and is so uncomfortable to remove. The next day my body felt uncomfortable from the efforts of extraction. If you have small hands, short fingers, or do not live with someone you trust to help you extract the cup don't buy this product. As much as I would like an environmentally menstration product I will be sticking to tampons and pads for now. Also, I have to give this product a star rating because of Amazon's rating process, otherwise I would be giving this product 0 stars.

I cannot rate this highly enough and wish I'd got a cup ages ago. It can take time to get used to it but I always have a shower first thing in the morning and empty it and then I'm good to go for a few hours (when on first days of period I change about every 4-6 hours but after the first day, every 12 hours as per instructions but no later than that). I have had hormone imbalance problems for years and severe cramps and I bet any money this has helped due to the fact I am not using anything treated with chemicals and nothing is leeching into my bloodstream.I whole heartedly recommend this.It was delivered fast and is easy to clean and use. Seriously say good bye to wasting money on tampons and towels and chemical nastiness, and helping the planet too may I add, and buy one of these today. You won't regret it! :)

Painful
As a virgin, I found this incredibly painful to use. I tried many different folds and eventually managed to insert it after several tries. When inside I could still feel it but it was comfortable enough, but upon removing it it was once more very painful. I know that I inserted and removed it correctly, so I'm not exactly sure why it was so uncomfortable - but be warned - if you are a virgin this may not be the best option for you.
