My son has connected them to our Alexa Show and his Laptop and phone.

where is the on button

Right hand head set, middle button. Hold it down and put the headphones to your ear and you should here the voice say "power on". And to turn them off, simply do the same again, press middle button till you hear "power off".

Will they connect to a sky q box

If the Sky box has Bluetooth, then yes.
