Great Product
I have bought two of these cards. I'm currently using it in 1GB Ethernet mode due to eventually upgrading to 10GB networking. Once you download the driver's from Intel for X520-T2. It worked perfectly. The price is also good for when I bought it. I would highly suggest this.

corrupted EEPROM/firmware โ unusable
bought the LinksTek X540-T2 Dual 10GbE RJ45 card for my Proxmox/Linux server. Unfortunately, it is completely unusable. The system detects the card as an Intel X540-AT2, not as a LinksTek product. See attached screenshot (lspci -nn | grep -i ethernet). The driver (ixgbe) fails to load due to firmware/EEPROM errors (โEEPROM Checksum Is Not Valid,โ โAdapter removed, error -5โ). corrupted EEPROM/firmware. No usable interfaces ever appear (ip -br link show only lists my onboard NICs). Even after BIOS adjustments, rescans, and driver reloads, the card cannot initialize. This suggests the card has faulty firmware or is a rebranded/resold unit that doesnโt function properly. Iโve attached screenshots of the PCI output and driver errors as proof. Returning for a refund.

Plug-and-Play... Great value and performance.
I installed the card into a 2019 Windows Server system and it worked flawlessly without needing to install any drivers. I confirmed that both ports showed up in the Device Manager and checked the speed options in the Properties pages under Network Adapter Options. They both show up as Automatic, with "10 Gbps Full Duplex" as an available option. The card has a tall plate by default, but they include a shorter one for systems that have a shorter card bay (such as rack systems). They also include a CD of drivers, but as far as I know, you will only need to use it for a non-server platform such as Windows 10 or 11. As I said, I installed it on a 2019 Windows Server, so I didn't need the CD. Since this card is based on an Intel Chipset, you can also get drivers directly from Intel by searching for "Intel Ethernet Controller X540-AT2". Lastly, this is a great value for a card based on the X540-AT2 chipset, so it's a great way to energize your network and NAS storage speeds.

Turbocharge Your Network: LinksTek X540T2 โ The Speed-aholic's Dream Adapter!
This powerful adapter is equipped with an Intel X540AT2 Ethernet Controller and two 10GbE RJ45 ports, making it perfect for storage, data transfer, and gaming enthusiasts. Pros: Installing this network adapter in my unRaid server was a breeze, especially with the included half-height bracket that accommodates various setups. The Intel X540AT2 Ethernet Controller ensures reliable and stable performance. Speed-wise, iPerf3 tests showed an average of around 7.5Gbps. While not hitting the maximum 10Gbps, it's still an impressive improvement over standard gigabit connections, taking into account my network's overhead. Cons: True 10Gbps speed remains elusive, but the adapter's performance is more than satisfactory for most applications and network environments. In summary, the LinksTek X540T2 Dual 10Gbps Ports Converged Network Adapter is an excellent choice for those seeking to upgrade their network capabilities. Its high-speed performance and versatile design make it suitable for a wide range of applications, including data transfer, storage, and gaming.

Intel chipset is the best. Super fast with two ethernet ports
This is a very fast ethernet card at 10 GB hardly anything can even communicate with it at full speed. You need special cables and you need a special network switch and even then your drive won't be fast enough to save or give data. But this is the perfect thing for a high-end server that has multiple drives and is the connection point for lots of different things. Having a card this fast means you will never need anything faster.

NO SUPPORT! Have not been able to update the drivers, current drivers are 2019?
Update: ABSOLUTELY NO CURRENT SUPPORT FOR THIS ADAPTER Unable to access web site... Intel Windows 10 drivers seem to load OK. But this is an unsupported configuration, per Intel. Current drivers are 2019? That is really old. Have not as yet been able to fully get 10GBE performance, suspect that Windows 11 Pro and the older drivers are part of the issue.

PC wouldn't boot with card installed
This card just arrived in the mail, and I'm immediately returning it. I installed the card and attempted to boot and my PC won't even POST, CPU fan spins for a second then goes dead - installed my old card again and PC works fine... Was attempting to install with pfsense which already has the ixgbe driver installed, so no reason for my PC not to boot after simply installing the card in the motherboard.

Firmware problem in proxmox Linux Kernel 6.8
Card was recognized but not working. After some digging I found in dmesg | grep lxbge that there was a firmware fault during initialization. I just gave up and bought a similar intel 10G card instead of trying to flash firmware. The other card I bought went in and worked perfectly right away. I would look else ware for a linux server application.
