Cefadroxil is a nature-derived broad-spectrum antibiotic and belongs to the first-generation cephalosporin antibiotics.Cefadroxil dogs & pets exerts swift bactericidal action against gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. (including Streptococcus pneumoniae), Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Micrococcus spp., Moraxella spp; Gram-negative bacteria: Neisseria meningitidis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli. Inactive with respect to Haemophilus spp., Proteus spp., Mycobacterium tuberculosis, anaerobic microorganisms. Indications for use: Domestic pets only. Do not use on humans. Applied for the treatment of dogs, cats and small pets with diseases of the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, skin wounds, sepsis, localized infections of soft tissues, osteomyelitis. Effective in treating infected wounds on animals. Dissolve in water if necessary or add it to food. Give it orally. The ammount is dependent on animal's weight (15 -30 mg per cilogram) and severity of infection. Treat for 5 days.
