Does the whole solar panel need to have direct sunlight in order to work?

Even on a semi-cloudy day and in lower light, our solar panels will often still provide some power to the pump. This is because a certain amount of photons still penetrate the cloud cover and hit the panel.

Can the solar water pump run without water?

Yes, the solar water pump has dry-run protection. This means as soon as the water level gets too low or take it out the water they will automatically shut off.

Why the solar water pump stop working, or the water flow is getting weaker and pumping less water?

The pump may become clogged with debris if the pool or pond is dirty. It's advisable to clean the pump regularly.
