Beech wood is a safe wood for hams (many aren’t so this is important to note) these beech chips give a great coarse foraging substrate for them. They love to dig in these and I often use them for a dig area located under their wheel. For the volume this pack represents absolutely brilliant value for money. Really pleased and this will be well used in my new little girls enclosure

I use this for the base of my cockateil birds cage (my bird is definitely a reptilian descendant of dinosaurs) it smells great and the chip size and quality is perfect for what we need clean and never found any foreign objects or bugs in any of them after 4 years of purchases.
