Lightweight Easel That Works Great for Art and Displays
I bought this easel for painting projects and also to display artwork, and it has been a very useful addition to my creative space. The adjustable height makes it easy to use whether Iโm sitting at a table or standing while working. Setting it up is quick, and the tripod design feels stable once everything is adjusted properly.I like that it comes with a carrying bag because it makes storage and transportation much easier. The aluminum construction keeps it lightweight while still feeling sturdy enough for everyday use. It works well for canvases, drawings, and even displaying signs or artwork during events. Overall, this is a versatile easel that offers great convenience without taking up much space, and Iโm very happy with the quality.

Well-made and very stable as an adjustable desk to easel
I use this easel on a flat table top and for that it works great. It's well-made and does a great job of holding a canvas. The bottom rail has multiple slots for adjusting the spread of the legs, useful if you aren't working on a large table. Better yet, you can buy plastic trays that use the same form factor, giving you an easel with a nice tray for paint brushes or other equipment. It's very steady on a table top, but since the leg extensions are similar to those used on a camera tripod, I'm sure it would prove less steady when used for stand up painting.

Better than like 90%
Easy to use and set up, it's large and can deal with like any size. The modular nature of it makes it able to deal with canvases that are like way too massive for it.Doesn't feel too cheap and holds up well against damage. It doesn't slide all over the place due to rubber pads. The only complaint is that when painting the bottom part of a canvas is slightly obscured by the metal part holding it and preventing it from falling. A simple fix to this would have been to add rubber parts to the ledge and remove the edge of the metal part. I suppose if you are handy enough you could fix it yourself with glue and a knife.Or I just rotated the canvas...Anyways that was a pretty heavy nitpick for a Easel that does better than 90% of Easels on Amazon. It's pretty cost effective so might as well get this one.

Wonderful Upgrade
By the way! I saw tripod hamock weights in the recommendations to go with this - seems like a great idea to put paints and brushes in, and would help weigh down this /extremely/ lightweight easel. I'd also recommend a camping/gardening stool and something to set more supplies on, if you're doing en plein air. Also, try finding a way to attach a paper towel for excess paint on your brushes. I've found I can rest a ruler on the lower hook-things for that. Wowzers will this easel let me just stroll through the park with only a bag of supplies, see some cool sunlight action on whatever plant, and just sit down to paint. It can go small, too, so you could just set it on a desk if you like. Then you could set all your stuff at arm's reach. For an actual review: Like I said, it's extremely lightweight. It seems sturdy enough; I'm just not so sure it would still stand straight if you whacked it against a boulder. Don't whack your gear into boulders. Anyway, for normal use, indoor and occasional outdoor, I suspect this will last me many years if I'm careful. The clasps may be a little delicate, like they'd be the first to break if you whacked it against a boulder. Ooh, another thing: I love how cleanable it looks. All surfaces are smooth, so I don't think I'll need to tape it up as I've done with my wooden board (that's more of a drawing surface, really). And the whole thing is extremely adjustable. And I love the carrying bag and the extra pieces just in case the small bits get lost. (Please be careful, those small bits may fall out if you unscrew the brackets too far.) Anyway, product seems neat. I'm very happy with it. I'll update my review if it ever breaks. With luck, I'll never need to. I don't whack my gear into boulders.

Great addition to my class kit, will likely purchase another
So funny story. I have been taking an art class for the last decade, and about 5 or 6 years ago, I got into oil painting. I would cart a whole mess of things to class with me, like a folding tabletop easel that also held my paints, a stay-wet type palette, an artist toolbox that held brushes and my mediums, and also a boxed up canvas panel. Which meant a LOT of things to carry to and from class. A couple weeks ago, I had added a nice glass jar with a metal coil inside for cleaning brushes, only it was a large jar and didn't fit into any of the things I was carrying with me. First night I brought this jar to class with me, it fell to the ground as I was leaving and broke, spilling my turpenoid all over. Knew then and there I needed to find a new setup that would hold everything and make it easier for transporting things to class. I ended up finding a Milwaukee brand rolling tool chest that I tricked out with some customized storage boxes for paints and brushes, and also for all my mediums (including a replacement for the broken brush cleaning jar). With everything in a compact space, I knew I would also need to replace my easel with something that could be folded down pretty compact, and this item fit the bill. Fairly easy to set up and take down, it fits into the tool chest perfectly. I have a smaller chest setup for my pastel supplies that I plan to order a second easel to add to. Good product for a good price. Highly recommend.

This is a nice easel. The only downside is when fully extended to be able to stand it gets wobbly. When I use it as a table to easel it is great.

Surdy and most flexible art stand.
This is the beat art canvas stand I have ever used. It is flexible and sturdy.I have used it also to hold posters and also 11 x 17 charters.

Great for Pictionary
Used this for several holiday Pictionary games. Holds a massive dry white board extremely wellโฆ! Very easy to setup and breakdown.
User
Solid, works well
Great product at an affordable price. I am using it for life drawing. Light and small when transporting/folded up. Solid - should use a board with a little weight so that it remains stable when applying pressure to the drawing.

Surprisingly nice
I didnโt think this easel would be much because of the reasonable price but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and saw a sturdy looking easel with quite thick legs. Came in a nice bag, no instructions but looks easy enough to set up. Looking forward to trying it out in the field soon.

Perfect!
I ordered this stand to accompany my classic car for car shows. I put a sign with details about the car on it. It is pretty sturdy, love that you can adjust the height. It folds small, very practical. Well worth the price!
