Itโs pricey, but well worth the money with set you up with canned food for a long time
Fits Approximately 19 Regular Mouth & 18 Wide Mouth Pint Jars | Fits Approximately 7 Regular Mouth & 6 Wide Mouth Quart Jars Iโve been wanting to build a tiny house / large shed to house conversion for along time and this was on my bucket list along with a harvest, right freeze dryer so I wonโt half to rely on a freezer or refrigerator for everything itโs not the cheapest pressure canner out there, but itโs one of the best, money well spent will do it all over again in a heart beat, I donโt think I would go any smaller then this model itโs perfect for what I need 1 to 2 people stocking up for rough times ahead .

Love!
I would suggest taking a class before using this. You can probably take a class at your local extension office. Really great quality, works amazing. Iโve used several times and I have had no issues. I use it on my glass cooktop. It does say in the booklet to call the appliance manufacturer before using it on your glass cooktop. Mine has been fine this far.

Not as awesome as the original
Iโm not sure if this needs to be broken in or is defective, but the lid gets stuck every time I use it where as Iโve never experienced that with my original aluminum. Sheโs cute, but sheโs more high maintenance. I canโt get the lid off without a screwdriver. Itโs also more difficult to keep the pressure steady and requires more babysitting. It does the job and cans beautifully! I just have to work a little harder for it than I do the plain version.

Really nice quality
I am a first time pressure canner. I studied up on how to use this, and finally canned a batch of rich chicken stock (nothing like anything you would ever get in a store!). This really isn't hard to use at all. You just follow step by step and make sure that it's up to pressure for the whole time. You have to babysit it. You can spend that time preparing more food to can, because this is addictive! ๐ I'm actually thinking of getting a second one so that I can do twice as much at once for the time spent. Cost: it's expensive, but you know what? Eating out is so expensive these days! For probably 3 dinners out with my family, I can get a canner that my kids will inherit! And it's certainly going to be healthier. I love that it's made in the USA! Did you know that you can can meat with no water in the jar, and that it makes it's own beautiful broth and is super tender? I didn't. You just shove the meat in there and go. The other day, I bought 2 raw organic chickens. I cut off the breast meat, plus whatever else I could get off easily, and canned 2 quarts of chicken for chicken salad. I then simmered the bones with some onions, carrots, celery, and salt for 24 hours (removing the remaining meat after several hours) and canned 7 quarts of stock. I then took the reserved, cooked meat I pulled out early and put in even more stock, fresh veggies, and canned 5 quarts of chicken soup. Finally, I crushed the bones and simmered them with new veggies for another few quarts of stock to can! And the nutritional value is going to be so much better than "bone broth" that you purchased.
