The Hare and the Tortoise | La Liebre y la Tortuga: A bilingual English and Spanish story for children

This story is still funny and important.

Excelente libro en ambos idiomas

After sending back another version and returning yet another version to the library I am so happy to report that this is just right! No weird new story lines, no unneeded language, and includes the famous refrain "slow and steady wins the race"!

Love the story and the bilingual aspect

Love, love, love this book. It’s a classic tale, but told in a very clean, easy to read book. The illustrations are soft and cute, and I love the Spanish translation below each English line. The reader gets to the end with the moral of the story to take away for life. And the parent always loves a nice SHORT bedtime story!

I love the way the author retold this classic story about the hare and the tortoise and the morals that she draws from the story at the end. The beautiful collage-style illustrations are a wonderful enhancement as is the fact that the book is bi-lingual.

This version of the classic story The Hare and the Tortoise is brilliantly done. The illustrations are fantastic and although I don't speak Spanish, I really liked how the author incorporated the Spanish verse along with the English. I would highly recommend this version.

The illustrations couldn't be more cute! I love bilingual books and this one is perfect. It's easy to understand and engaging.

A lovely little bilingual book!

I bought this and some other books in Spanish and English for my grandson, as he has dual heritage. These books are ideal traditional stories for young children.

lovely book, ideal for bilingual babies, it has activities in the last part which is nice

Lovely book brought as a gift

Bought this for my nephew who's mother speaks Spanish with him and father speaks English so was lovely to find a book they could both read to him. Lovely story and illustrations.
