Bought 2 sizes of LG Air conditioners: 14,000 btu LG LW1522IVSM and 8,000 btu LG8022IVSM. BOTH WORK FANTASTIC! SUPER QUIET, FAST to cool, very EFFICIENT WORK HORSES!!! The 8000 I am reviewing here (see my other review for the 14K btu, but same glowing review) cools the medium BR and back of the home very nicely. So quiet you barely know they're on. In addition to the strong and fast cooling, THESE ARE ESPECIALLY GOOD at taking HUMIDITY out of the air and that is why I bought them. If you live in an area with high humidity like I do GET THESE LG's you will not regret it. The remote is easy to use too. I feel they are a GREAT value for the money due to the fact that they have Dual inverters which cost much less to run so it's worth it and you get reduced cost benefit in the longrun. ONE downside-- You may get some damage upon arrival from shipping or their packaging Im not sure which, however I felt its worth it because I was able to remedy the problems (crushed fins using a toothpick or fin comb, minor dents and breakage, some items omitted from the box but LG sent to me, call them!) None of it affected the way my units performed. Also, the drain PLUG was missing from one AC but present in the other. I AM NOT USING DRAIN PLUGS in my units. My advice after some research is that those plugs are ONLY good if the unit has NO WATER inside it and THEN you want to put it in storage. If you keep the plugs in the units while working is is NOT good for the unit as it will create mold inside and damage the AC potentially stopping it from working. I've purchased many AC units in past years and none compare to these...BY FAR THESE ARE WINNERS!!

I bought this after having the Midea U inverter 8000 btu and the LG is far better at cooling and doesn't make the high pitched noise the Midea made. It is powerful, the set up was easy, it isn't any heavier than my Media and was easier to install. The cooling performance is good for my upstairs attic space. The temperature stays constant and cools quickly. The eco mode works well. It has only been a couple weeks but very happy with the upgrade. The TinkQ app works well and responds quickly with several program options and I can turn my unit on or off from anywhere. It also has a widget i can use to quickly tap the unit on or off. The sleep mode is nice as it slowly increases the temperature after starting the mode. It is also easy to program several times during the night to create a more specific schedule for increasing the temperature beyond the initial increase with the sleep mode. It is so quiet on the lowest setting I cant tell if it is on or not and on the high setting it is still quieter than other models I have owned. It drains well from the back of the unit keeping water away from my siding and not in the window sill.

Purchased this unit in May of 25. Used it for 4 months then it was put away for the winter. Put it in about a month ago and noticed the humidity in the room is off the charts. I have 2 of these units. My good unit dumps water all day, the new unit does nothing. Not a single drip of water. Cleaned the unit, nothing. Air filter is cleaned twice a week for my daughter's sake. What bothers me the most is that its conveniently right after the 1 year warranty expires. Won't purchase anything else from LG

Love that it is so quiet! Cooling works great. Only reason not to give 5 stars is the weight. I store this machine in my basement during the winter, and it is very heavy to transport and install.

Initial review, if it busts within 3 years I'll update. But so far so good. Ultra quiet. Even on full blast we were questioning whether it was working because it's so quiet. But it's already dominated several 90°+ NJ days. And i love that I can just leave the unit on all day. Highly recommend getting a window support mount for it. It's longer and heavier than most other units I've seen.

I’ve tired every brand ac for the most part and these dual inverters by lg are the best bang for your buck replaced every ac in my home with one of these of dif sizes. Powerful cooling and effortless upkeep with the lg app even tells you how much power it consumes and when to clean it. Installation is easy 123 but you definitely need a support bracket for the weight also it says to leave drain plug in but ignore that advice seriously let this unit drain or it’ll turn to goo and build up like a fish tank.(learned the hard way)

Quiet the most quiet window unit I have ever owned.!! I do believe they have the square footage wrong because it can cooler a bigger space. No if ands or buts this thing works. It even has the guides so you can shoot the air out where you want to not just straight like a sum of the cheaper air conditions have. Even the stuff that attaches to it in the wall to cover the gaps up is top notch. When my windows units go out I'll be replacing them with all LGs. I can't stress how nice it is and the remote is easy to use as well. And here I thought they just made TVs...

Quietest A/C unit I have ever owned. You do not hear the compressor kick on. All you hear is the fan blowing. Well worth the extra money. I highly recommend it!
