He's small. He's round. He's got a constant smile on his face. His battery lasts a million years. He can blast "Love Shack - Tik Toxic Remix" by DJ Cummerbund and the B-52's with such raw power that I'm sure we could find a way to hook him up to the nation's power grid to create an infinite power source that will last until the end of time. This was the best purchase I've ever made in my entire life. Sure, he doesn't have any buttons that allow pausing or volume change like most speakers do, but he DOES have a silly little smile and a can-do attitude, so I don't mind having to do all that through my phone. There's no way I could possibly put into words just how perfect this guy is.A few things to note? He's smaller than the pictures seem to show (which isn't a bad thing! I'm actually even *more* fond of him after discovering he's as small as he really is), his speaker is WAY more powerful than the other reviews claim, and he's even more perfect looking in person. Also, adding on to the size thing, he's about the size of a King's Hawaiian sweet roll, which is hilarious and adorable. Its so cute and can fit right in your pocket! The sound is actually really good! Here's it next to the Alexa, its so tiny. My 18 month old loves it too, he usually tries to grab any speaker he can thats why we got him his own, but its very durable because it handles play but idk if I want him to play to much with it since its such good quality! I gotten it yesterday and it has played music for a few hours and doesn't need to be charged yet, so the battery life is also surprisingly great. I probably recommend this speaker to anyone who wants a new speaker.

I bought this to give to my son's girlfriend for Christmas. I was hesitant, but I was convinced by the reviews that described the sound and volume of this little thing. Those reviews were not exaggerating! It's adorably tiny...looks like a bath toy for a 5-year-old, but the sound was jaw dropping--really unexpected for such a cute, tiny device. It won't replace an expensive sound system, but if you want a very portable, reasonably loud bluetooth speaker that will make you smile every time you use it...buy this! Son's GF loved it, her sister ordered one, and now I'm buying one for myself.

Right out of the box this little speaker stole my heart and did not disappoint in terms of sound quality. Naturally, with a tiny speaker like this you don’t get a lot of bass but that doesn’t mean it won’t thump when it needs to, especially if you can put it in like a little cup or something to enhance the sound if you’d like. If you’ve got a sit-down job like me, battery isn’t so much of an issue if you bring a charger with you but if you’re on your feet you’ll only get about half a shift in and it’ll die. Charges pretty quick, tho.

UPDATED REVIEW!The speaker is adorable, so I wanted to love it. However, it started having popping no in less than a month!For the first couple weeks it worked really well— paired easily with my phone and it was easy to adjust volume. The battery lasted about 3 hours of continuous use before it started sending warning beeps to charge it again. The sound quality is noticeably less crisp than my iPhone's speakers, but the sound quality is still decent. If you're an audiophile that needs super quality base drops, you'll need to find a speaker in a different price range, but if you wanted something small and cute to add background music to a picnic or to sing along with during showers, this little whale does the job great! Could also be attached to a backpack or something when city biking so people hear you coming.After a couple weeks, it started getting popping noises when playing music occasionally, but the popping sounds got worse and worse to the point where there’s no point using the speaker anymore. It also does not respond to volume adjustment anymore either. I submitted a replacement request, and received a new unit after a week or so.... but it looks like I complained too soon! My original unit started behaving itself again once the new unit arrived!From what I can tell (I am not a super tech savvy person, so this took a bit of trial and error), the popping noises sometimes (but not always) start to happen if I connect the speaker mid-song/while something is already playing on my phone. If I pause on my phone before connecting the bluetooth whale speaker, then there are no issues with volume control or popping. HOWEVER, once the popping sounds start, the only way I can get them to stop is by restarting my phone/audio input source (turning the whale speaker off and on again does not affect the popping noises).tl;dr - SUPER CUTE speaker of decent sound quality (especially for <$30), lasts about 3 hours of continuous play at moderate volume on full charge, very easy to connect and use. May sometimes have popping sounds/volume issues if you connect to your audio source mid-song but easily remedied by restarting your audio source.

It's got better sound than I expected and the battery lasts for a few hours. It can be charged while in use so that's a definite plus. It's obviously not meant to be a soundsystem for your whole house, but it's definitely useful on the go and in a single room. And it's freaking ADORABLE!!!

I've been looking for a portable speaker to play music on and I can just say that this one is PERFECT. Its about 2 and a half inches long (I don't have a ruler with me and I'm too lazy to get one) but the sound is AMAZING! Not to mention how much I love whale sharks. I have yet to see how well it holds up before it needs to be charged but I'm sure it will be fine for my uses. Once again the sound quality is great and this is perfect for individual use, small house parties, and gettogethers.
