Best yagi WiFi antenna I own( I have a few)

I bought a couple of these because they're cheap and small enough to pack in small places.First thing I did was calibrate my little VNA and throw them on it to see where they were tuned, and they are basically dead-center tuned for 2.4GHz wifi DSSS channel 8 (2447 MHz), so right in the middle of the 2.4GHz spectrum. Nice.SWR on them Is < 1.5:1 from 2400-2500MHz, with the resonant frequency being 2456MHz @ 1.18:1, easily making them usable for wide modes like OFDM.If you look at the close-up picture, you can see that they incorporated a little balun match section into the PCB between the driven element section, which apparently is right on the money, at least in the eyes of my VNA, which usually gets it right as long as it's calibrated (which it was).The elements do seem to be spaced a lot more closely than most yagi design programs tend to want you to put them, which makes me wonder how they will hold up to one of my homebrew ones. I still need to test them at a distance, but they should act somewhat yagi-like, and they shouldn't burn up your wifi adapter as long as you only use them for 2.4GHz band.

I bought this to install on external Wi-Fi cameras with detachable antennas that need to reach 600 feet. This little antenna immediately improved my reception and throughput. Any improvements would be slightly larger and some weatherproof connectors.

Checked this on a NanoVNA. This isn't a 2.4 GHz / 5GHz antenna at all. The SDR bottomed out around 1.8GHz, but was in the 20s all through the 2.4GHz range and was up in the 30s through the 5GHz range.

FYI, the price is only for one item, despite what the pictures lead you to believe. When I received mine the ground and antenna pads were connected with a solder glob (see pictures). This would have significantly decreased the directional gain, although it is quite easy to fix if you have a soldering iron. But if you're having issues with the gain make sure all 3 pads are isolated from each other. Unfortunately I can't test mine yet because the wifi USB I'm using has an inverted SMA connector (which I didn't know could happen) so I'll have to get an adapter. Either way, $14 is WAY too expensive for what is essentially a single PCB with a connector attached to it.First picture: pads connected (possible issue)Second picture: pads isolated (this is what you want to see)

At 5 GHz, the main lobe provides very good direction selectivity. The antenna is light weight and easy to use for mobile work. Be advised, the description says SMA connectors. However, the antenna is actually fitted with an RP-SMA connector (Reverse Polarity-SMA) This is standard on Wifi access points. You will need an adapter to connect to standard SMA as used on test equipment. Recommended.

I used this with my spectrum analyzer to look around my son's RC airport for interfering noise. We found it. Right where the antenna said it would be. I like it.I would have given 5 stars but it comes as simply a "Blank" PCB with the proper etching on it. I would have hoped that the PCB would have been a bit more protected. If it has conformal coating, it is very thin.If you're planning to use this, it is rather directional (what I needed - but maybe not what you're expecting), just keep that in mind. It is very sensitive in the direction for which it is designed.

I use this antenna to borrow my churches wifi which is in direct view. If you can see it you can connect to it using this antenna. Amplify with a 12v bias t and you won't be disappointed you bought this antenna. As seen in picture I am pulling a signal easily from 300ft away. I'm gonna buy more of these! Secret is to put the amplifier down line from the antenna
